  I hope the manufacturer has developed a non-tactical version as I like the zippers on pockets and the little hidden zippered pocket. The tactical elements seem like an overkill for wearing just for travel.

  I have a gold jet on my 45 before that even made these. There was also a batch they made an the are grey in color. I even called an they said they changed the DLC coat so it may look diff. I said I love it. Gold, blk,silver are my ramjet colors

  They make this light in a 6500k and a 5000k. Would you say the 6500k has a bluish tint and the 5000k is more "white"?

  How delicate does a person's fingers need to be to have a problem activating Surefire X300 switches? The switches were my main regret about switching to Streamligjt during the great Pistol Light Lumen Upset when Streamligjt plonked out a brighter and longer legged pistol light and SF didn't catch up for nearly 2 years. I missed my X300 switches the whole time.. The firmness of the SF switch is to prevent accidental light exposure in case the switches get bumped. The old, old original X300 had much more gentle handed switches but people complained about bumping them and unintentionally exposing themselves to threats in actual gun fights. Oh well, potato putahto, tomato tumahto

  IMO..... i wouldn't give the ELFTMAN for an other one of them ...& if you watch the video of how the Trigger is Made & how it Works... there will be quite a bit more people Favor the ELFTMAN

  I think the pressure pad having only momentary on, kind of kills this for me. I really wanted to buy two of these. But, if I wanted to use them, I'd have to set them up so I can easily reach the tail cap, instead of the pressure pad. The updated Streamlight ProTac HL-X actually now has the same 50,000 candela as the Streamlight ProTac HL-X Pro. The pressure pad interfaces differently. The pressure pad connection is much more robust on the regular HL-X, but you don't have access to a tail cap button with the pressure pad installed. However, the pressure pad on the regular ProTac HL-X has better functionality. I think I'm going to wait until Streamlight comes out with a similar light, that actually has the features people want. I'm not sure who's in charge of the engineering decisions at the company, but they're making some boneheaded choices.

  Thanks for the info! Glad I hadn't added the HL-X yet. I have over 300 lights, yeah I need to thin the herd, but the latest greatest thing is a hobby with me. I'm not an operator, but with the "climate" these days who knows when we all might be forced into being one. Appreciate the head's up!

  @@wadepage5823 I hear you on the climate. That's my motivation as well. I'm hoping Streamlight will sell the regular HL-X with the updated candela soon. Most websites are still advertised the lower candela. It's unclear if you're buying the 50,000 candela version, or the older version. I imagine there's a lot of old stock out there, that still needs to get sold. If you find a deal that is clearly the updated ProTac HL-X model, please send a link.

  @@wadepage5823 300 is a lot of lights. But, I'm not much better. I have a bunch of Olights sitting around, because I didn't know any better. Don't get me wrong, some Olights are actually pretty good. They're fine for every day concealed carry or home defense. They're not genuine "duty" lights though. I think they only sell one light that has a rating higher than IPX4. Something to be aware of, is that Streamlights immediately become IPX4 when you attach the remote switch. I'm going to try to set mine up so that I can reach the tail cap switches. I'm not sure if I'll be successful.

  I've had this light since it came out. To this day it's still my favorite out of my many lights. Most of my needs the 200 lumens is more than adequate. Out with the dogs and our area isn't necessarily the greatest, people on the street at all hours. Having that 4000 lumen flood to quickly blast an area to see the full picture has come in really handy and a couple times probably saved my ass, as i saw there were multiple people spread out coming at me at 2am and i am sure it caught them by surprise as they all momentarily froze and I was able to get back inside quickly.

  As much as I learnt from everyone, I have yet to see the advantage of an axe in a get home bag. Unless you are travelling 25 miles plus, this is extra weight, unless you have to travel though wooded areas and set up shelter.

  I love my olights. They get a lot of hate, but they have held up very well on my daily carry and my rifles. They have better features than the overpriced brands too. I love being able to change them magnetically. Thanks for the video.
