I saw him in 1983 in a college gymnasium. I was right in front. Only the wooden sawhorses separated me from the stage. When Joe came out, the crowd surged forward. I was pinned between the crowd and the stage---as were several other people.I was bent over the sawhorsesI and ended up with four bruised ribs. I don't remember the concert at all. Maybe I'll look up his schedule and try again!

Great song - says so much. Punk without being thrash. Saw Joe and the gang only once at the SDSU Amphitheater in San Diego back in the day.

Graham Maby was brilliant and established the sound. However, according to the JJ Archive he took a break for this tour and album and it was Rick Ford on bass.

I guess the archive is allowed to be wrong sometimes. Maby is introduced in the third song of the show: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lX2VxM-fZ5ngmdI.htmlsi=zZJUHw0-ekujfwkU

Warming up my heart with this song tonight. Absolute genius musician of the heart. Much Love 💕 ... Man makes a gun, man goes to war Man can kill and man can drink And man can take a whore Kill all the blacks, kill all the reds And if there's war between the sexes Then there'll be no people left And so it goes, go round again But now and then we wonder who the real men are

I always thought this was the best track in the Laughter and Lust album, and this live version absolutely does it justice. If you want to know why Joe Jackson is one of the best musicians out there, this is exhibit A. A well-known cover, a classic Blues piece, and Joe does it his way and leaves a definitive impression in your mind that he could take over an audience at will. By the way, the band is an A+.

Thanks for uploading this. Bought back some great memories. I was actually at this concert and was aware it was being recorded. I searched and voila!!. Great musician and singer. Entertaining. I did detect a slight perfectionist streak when an audience member got up onto the stage and started dancing with him during ? "Is she really going out with him ". Maybe that's the reason it's not included here. He basically finished the song and said " OK because that f**cker got up and danced with me we're going to do that whole song again". At which point the aussie audience " bugger off". Very amusing but probably not for the production team.
