Without as many complications as other mechanics Good job!
Thank you!
Great video! I do have a questions. Do you need to replace any of those pulley bolts? If yes, which ones are needed?
No none of the bolts are necessary to replace.
Will replacing this part fix my low power mode problem? Goes it to low power mode mechanic said code was fuel injected pump
Yes this will fix that issue as well if the code is related to the fuel pump.
Ive replaced this, both fuel pressure sensors, cleaned injectors, replaced MAF, CAT and the damn car still wants to shut off when its in drive. If i put it in Neutral, the car runs fine. IDK what else to do.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Is it setting any check engine lights on?
Timing chain could be messed up
Never use brake cleaner on a throttle body. There is a reason they sell TB cleaner. You can look at the cans they dont have the same things in them
There’s nothing that special about throttle body cleaner from brake cleaner. I’ve been using it for 20 years and still to this day haven’t seen a problem with it. Just like you can use it instead of starter fluid to start a motor up also.
Best video, very detailed, thank you!
No problem thank you for watching!
Do you know where the SD card goes radio just like this radio on the 2018 model?
This is the best and most detail-orientated video for changing a timing belt for the Honda Odyssey (Gen 4). Thank you for taking the time to make the video.
No problem thank you for watching!
I would buy these for 2nd replacement for my 2015 escalade
Dude! This video totally saved me. I replaced the sunvisor and everything went out in the car. No power and couldn’t start the car. I could not figure out what happened. I even went through the fuses. After seeing your video I rechecked the room fuse and sure enough it was blown. Thanks man!
Glad it helped!
The 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee bleeder valve is not there
It is there on the 2016 also but only if you have the 3.6 liter. If it’s the 5.7 it has a plain thermostat without the housing with the bleeder screw on it.
Thank you dude. Very helpful
Glad it helped!
So there is no bleeder screw on a toyota camry for the radiator
No there isn’t
Thank you
You're welcome
This is a great video I have a 2008 Honda Odyssey that I want to do the timing belt on. I also need to replace the valve seals I was hoping to try to do it without taking the heads off do you have any videos on anything like that?
Most likely you have an issue with your piston rings not your valve stems if it’s burning oil. If your odyssey has VCM where it shuts down 3 cylinders when coasting, first look up VCM muzzler and get that disabled, change the spark plugs and that normally takes care of the oil burning. Otherwise I would pull the heads off when you have the timing belt off, send it to a machine shop, and replace the piston rings. Good luck!
@@acetechauto7 okay thank you I do actually have a VCM disabler but maybe I'll try to reinstall that and change the spark plug from see what happens I have read that the VCM does cause it to burn more oil so I'll do a little more research thank you
@kevinsunderland5172 I have done plenty of vcm disabling on these and the Honda pilots and still to this day I haven’t had any more issues with them so yeah definitely double check that before you dig too deep into the engine work.
Thanks bud
No problem 👍
Thank for the video. To help the youtube algorithm you should add the year of the car. Had a hard time finding this.
I have added the year thanks for pointing that out!
I was legitimately upset after I got the Car battery sign flashing and I was so confused with it going away every time I accelerated. And I had just replaced the alternator. I'm going to give this a try hopefully that fixes it 🤞🏼
Most likely this is the cause then. Good luck!
Can you do it without touching the timing at at all
Of course! I’m a magician!
I understood everything you were saying. Thank you
Glad it helped!
Los he cambiado pero el indicador derecho se me queda pegado
Thank you so much! You just saved me a ton of aggravation. This is exactly what was going on with mine. A little tape and done!
Nice! I’m glad it worked for you!
I have to say thank you Ace Tech Auto for this video. Made it look pretty easy but wow it was challenging. When I got to the step of removing the pin from the tensioner I did not have enough slack in the belt and it moved the rear cam off the timing mark. I freaked but thought it just moved back a bit so I can just take the tensioner off and reset the tensioner. Took the belt off. moved the rear cam slightly forward to align the marks and started over. I eventually got it right as the timing marks were lined up with tensioner pin pulled. Timing marks were where they were with the old belt. Put it all back together and now i’m not sure if i’m paranoid but it seems like there is a slight vibration only at idle. Any insight you might have would be much appreciated.
Congratulations on the job! It’s not too bad you just need patience. If your timing belt was off you would get a check engine light pop up for incorrect cam and crank correlation so if that’s not the case then most likely it’s just in the head and I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thanks
I have a Chevy equinox 2016 it came p0172 and p0191 code every time I turn off the car it still runs a little bit what can it be ?
It can be your fuel pump
I had to order a set of second and third gear pressure switches and the new ones came as one brownish in color like in your video and a black one do you know which one I should put at the top and which one at the bottom?
A PITA I'm sure to film this, but I sure do appreciate it.
How did you do the final alignment tweaking of the two cam pulleys before removing the tensioner?
You set the timing at TDC and then you remove the tensioner. Just follow the video on how to do it.
@@acetechauto7 Hi Acetchauto. I think jerrell meant your comment on 40:06. I have the same question. How did you slightly align the upper cram that was misaligned due to stretch of the belt? Did you rotate the upper cam clockwise/counterclockwise or you had to rotate the bottom crank again?
@multiDomains if it’s slightly off, as long as your crankshaft sprocket is at tdc mark, slightly rotate the camshaft sprocket with a wrench to the marked line in the direction that’s closest to the markings.
Thanks for this video. My compressor is not engaging. It moves freely. Is this usually a bad relay or compressor shot? Thank you
Make sure you have Freon in the system first. If you do then check to see if there is power going to the compressor
@@acetechauto7 Thank you Sir!
Fixed my cabin heater issue in about 2 mins, wish I found this video a couple if years ago!
Can you tell me where the BCM is located on this car?
The BCM on Honda is called the MICU and that’s located in the under dash fuse and relay box.
@@acetechauto7 the fuse/relay box near the driver floor mat area ?
@@acetechauto7 also , does it need to be reprogrammed as well?
Yes that’s the one. It does have to be programmed to the vehicle unless you can desolder the eeprom chip from your old one and transfer it on to the new one.
@@acetechauto7 thanks I really appreciate it. I feel i need to do this because my doors will not lock from my key fob or from the button on my autolock switchs on the front doors. My key doesn't even unlock the driver door. Previous owner added a remote starter , thinking that messed things up, idk.
That tie rod probably should have been replaced as well right?
Technically even though it drops easily, there’s no play in and out in the joint of the tie rod so you can still keep it but this car has gotten its moneys worth out of those tie rods and it’s just a matter of time before they start to get play so when the time is right I would do inner and outer tie rods and an alignment.
@@acetechauto7 Thanks for the reply! I hear that the inner tie rods don't fail as often as outer tie rods. Is this true?
@sashaghovanlou8175 that’s true mostly the outer tie rods outlast the inner tie rods. When you have the wheel up in the air wiggle the wheel left to right and see if it has any play.
Job done no issues!!!!! One bulb only!!!
Thanks buddy
No problem!
I might have the same problem I’m getting a po 798 I tested the selenoids manually with a battery they all work
Most likely you have the same problem very common issue on that ground wire
Hello, my friend, my 2007 Odyssey has P0962 and P0970 fault codes. At that time, the control circuits of the gear solenoid valves A and C were too high. After disassembling, I found that the wires of A and C were broken. After replacing them, P0962 and P0970 fault codes appeared again. Now I can't find out where the fault occurred. Please tell me how to repair it! Thank you
Hi you would have to test the wiring and see where you have a broken wire and once you get that repaired you should be good to go.
Thanks bro 🙏
No problem!
The install was good but I don't understand why anyone would want their Tahoe or Yukon to look like a Cadillac from the back but still look like a Tahoe or Yukon from the front. It's like putting SS badges on a regular car to pretend you have a better car. It just doesn't make sense to me.
It’s not to make it look like a Cadillac it’s just that a truck that big just looks better with the bigger lights in the back in my opinion. It’s a personal preference.
Its not about being an escalade sir it’s about the bigger rear lighting to be spotted with bigger rear light versus a small rear brake, but I know what your next answer will be, but if i want to i could have an escalade or any other vehicle but I choose to buy and do what i want with all do respect.
How come EVERY vid on the Sienna timing belt replacement just SKIPS over the timing belt cover removal?
It’s not skipped. the cover removal is in the video
I just found your video while looking up mode actuator for 2011 gmc terrain. I took it to a scammy shop for a new inspection and it failed. He said “Mode Actuator Operating System”. I didn’t trust him although my defrost does not work in front windshield but it works for the back. I went to advance auto snd ordered a mode actuator. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you
Hi just follow the video and that should take care of your issue as long as the door it’s supposed to turn inside there is not broken but you’ll be able to see that once you take it off.
@@acetechauto7 Thank you so much, I’m going to try it. New subscriber 👏you’re awesome
@sharonh7220 thank you for the subscribe and I wish you luck with the repair!
Thank you very much for this video. Same as last comment. I bought a new visor from Amazon. I plugged it in and blew the fuse! Thank you for showing me the fuse to change easily.
Absolutely! Glad to help!
I thought you had the actual answer instead of what I would do anyways
That is the answer
Not only eased for us to follow, the camera and lighting you cared to use provided full clarity right there with dark cavities around it, something I miss all the time with so many videos like these, thanking you very much
No problem and thank you very much for watching!
Didn’t work for me, I tried changing the alternator, cleaning the throttle body, cleaning battery terminal cables, what else could it be? Battery light is still on
Sometimes a bad alternator will still leave the battery light on. I would try warranting out the alternator
Does the check engine light turn off right away, mine is still on.
You will have to turn it off with a scanner or you can disconnect the negative battery cable for one minute and put it back on.
I keep hearing a clicking noise coming from that area, even when the engine is off, I was told that it could be the actuator. Will replacing it fix the problem ? Thanks
Yes that is your actuator
Simple and to the point. Thanks.
No problem thanks for watching!
Excellent video, I followed it to the T and changed both taillights in my 2014 Passat about 30 minutes ago.
Thank you for watching I’m glad it helped you out and you got it taken care of!
Thanks for the video. Did you have to bleed the fuel line first before removing it?
You don’t have to. Just slowly unscrew the fuel line and wait for all the fuel to leak out and that’ll release all the pressure in there. Good luck!
Thank you so much
No problem glad it helped!
Do you know where I could find a replacement g151 metal bracket, idk if you made your own substitute or bought a new one. I just don’t know what to call when searching in google to buy one.
I’m not sure you’re gonna be able to find that anymore due to the age of the vehicle your only option might be a junkyard. I just made my own
