My name is Donny Gillies, I've been a freelance artist/designer/maker/painter for over 20 years. Some of my clients include Metallica, Vans, Stern Pinball, Snap-on tools and Dunlop guitar picks to name a few. I work from my home studio in California and travel frequently for my art. One of the things my art is most well know for are the Metallica, Aerosmith and Can Crusher pinball machines.
The drawings I do are ink on paper, the way it was done back in the day for comics, pinball machines and rock posters. I also airbrush, paint with acrylic and oil, build stuff, paint cars/bikes and film. That is still not to say the computer comes in handy from time to time;)

This is absolutely perfect. Simply stunning. But the original blue paint looked so good I wouldn't have been able to bring myself to remove it.
Just saw this kit today for the first time, in his new Drumeo video. I love painting model cars and airbrushing paint, so as soon as I saw his kit, I had to look up to see if there was a video on it. Did no disappoint.. Look's great! I can't draw but I would love to learn hoe to do the striping and taping techniques etc. one day.
