If you have the slightest DIY bone in your body, lift the car a bit to give some room to work, remove the spring clip holding the rubber boot, squirt some automotive oil into the boot (fill it), reseat the boot and replace the spring clip, and in about a day the squeak will be gone.

Yes please! Your thoughts on " I-listened-to-everyone-and-2nd-guessed-myself" is EXACTLY the way i've been thinking/feeling about it since I started watching EUC reviews, with a view to purchasing my first wheel (and had kinda decided on the V14 based on specs alone before watching any reviews). And had made that decision based on my use-cases, how the machine would stack up in those cases, and machine/company quality. 15-20 reviews later, I'm thinking "but there are people who don't like it because of x, y, and z". Aaaaah! But then came to the same conclusion you did; most likely am gonna be 80-90% happy with 80-90% of the time. Almost nothing is ever 100%, there are gonna be other devices that just do certain things better, and that will only become more and more the case as better and better wheels are released. I did enough research, it would be a solid purchase, my use-cases still stand. So thank you for that! 😊

What’s your pedal angle Forward/backward? I have mine set 2 degrees forward which helps start easier although slightly has pedals lower which doesn’t effect me unless doing huge obstacles. I can even jump small logs. That and my pad set up is back pads touch firm when legs completely straight and forward upper pads tilted more in towards the ankle and forward towards the front at the shin so when knees are bent about where front handle is I fully press against the entire upper pad. It helps me so much off road.

The Grizzla flow pads definitely improved my riding experience on the V14 as well. Just wish Grizzla or another vendor made a larger fairing/side plate for the V14. In order to have my foot centered on the pedal, my back braking pad needs to hang off the edge of the stock side plate. Otherwise you end up with the situation you had when you first set up the Grizzla pads with your foot hanging off the front of the pedal. Looks like fun trails to ride!

Be mindful that the TSG helmet is pretty flimsy with minimal padding and protection. I know a few riders who have gotten concussions in that helmet, and Dawn crushed it in half between her legs… If you cruise around 25-30mph you might want to swap to one of your larger motocross helmets or something else more robust.
