  God I loved this movie so much as a kid. When we bought our very first VCR in 1983 I practically begged my dad to buy it. He did and I played it non stop. The ability to fast forward, rewind, and pause certain scenes blew me away. I wish they would re-make FIREFOX with today’s technology.

  This movie gets better with age, and I challenge anyone to tell me of a better (western/English language) fighter jet movie. Top gun is very good, and the new top gun had potential, but this movie is cut of its own sheet of stealth fibres.

  Firefox is based on the novel of the same name by craig thomas he wrote a sequel called firefox down perhaps someone could film this

  Can we just take a minute to appreciate just how good the effects were for their time. This dogfight is worthy of Star Wars. Also the way the lighting moves in the cockpit shots.

  Are you serious? This looks terrible, basicly like a movie from the 60s. "The last countdown" (1980) looked waaaay better.

  @@ramireza6904 I thought that was mostly done with real planes tho. The movie biz didn’t have the tech to simulate the trans sonic effects on the F14’s back then and there was no black outline that would have given away the use of a blue screen. The explosions were clearly models. Crashes were simulated with what, life size or at least large sized drones or something right? Not the same processes as Firefox.

  Effects were awesome for this time.seriously woke sausages would not appreciate the genius represented in this movie. Underrated genius and way ahead of this time.

  This is so well done! I remembered hearing a Dalek with a Welsh accent (South IIRC) in one of the old Doctor Who episodes and was searching for that, but I'm not disappointed to find this instead!

  All military-based movie theme songs must have loud and strong horns in them. The amount of brass in "Firefox" was more than what the plane had itself! Very good musical score... EXCELLENT!!!!

  I also watched it on a TV program. When I was about to crash, I remembered in the pilot's memory, "Think in Russian." He shot down fire fox on the Russian side and arrived in the United States. 私も、テレビ番組で観ました。墜落しそうなときに、パイロットの記憶の中で「ロシア語で考えるんだ」と思い出して。ロシア側のファイヤーフォックスを撃墜しアメリカへ着いたのでしょう。

  One of my all-time favourite movies and scores, but sadly (and to the best of my knowledge) the score, with the exception of the end-track has never been released as an album. Jarre's work is both inspiring and creative and I collect it, so imagine my disappointment. Anyone know where the complete OST for Firefox can be found?

  We used to be able to watch the full movie free on KZread, now they are all gone. They make money either way, why not allow free movies on this Server? Everyone wins! LoL 😆
