To see how far Misty and Kerri have come now. With them both at 3 Olympic Gold Medals is crazy. Even though Penn State won this one Stanford is still more dominant with 9 NCAA titles and Penn State is at 7 titles.

Imo Tom could have gave Stanford 4 National Titles when she played for them but i feel like her team mates weren't on the level she was having played in the summer Olympics and having all that international exposure and VB is a team sport but in this match against LBSU for the NCAA TITLE it just goes to show how great of a player she really is!

For those of you saying they suck at women's volleyball. In 2006 fivb world championship women china and Japan both humiliated the USA 3-0.i bet any Asian team can beat the USA. Even South Korea beat USA 3-1

I would have to say that it would most likely be the same. Between 03 and 08 volleyball has drastically changed. But if you were to compare the skills itd be most likely a tie.

Actually the Penn State dynasty began in 2007..since then they have dominated. Last time Stanford won was in '04. Miss Stanford being the top powerhouse.

This was the start of Penn States dynasty! Before that it was Stanford that was the dominant team. They had great players in Walsh and Tom who had their share of championships. I believe the last time Stanford won a title was during the 01 or 02 season. Tom was a senior and was and in my opinion still a terrific all-around player. Now a days, it's all Penn St.

You are comparing two players with different role. Hooker is an opposite hitter whose main goal is to hit and score; she doesn't need to receive serve and the team doesn't rely on her much on defense. On the other hand, Tom's main goal is to do serve receive. Please look at the area she covers during serve receive. It is almost the same size as the libero. In other words, would you replace Tom with another Hooker or the other way around? Without good passes, there is no effective attack.
