I can’t imagine the hate in this thread. I think she’s an icon really showing unique and interesting gymnastics. Really showing a good example of what laying the code of points after you’re own advantage. She’s is fantastic.

While l love gymnastics, it's barbaric what what they force these kids to push through, & tne pressure that's put on them. One comment made in this video " She's so good at this, but those ankles..." All their coaches care about is the win, & that's how they teach these kids to think. Winning & perfection. Get a grip adults.

Ich mag akrobatische Routinen auch lieber, aber wenn Sannes Übung verhältnismäßig leicht sein sollte und trotzdem einen hohen Schwierigkeitswert hat, wären alle anderen Turnerinnen ziemlich dumm, wenn sie sich stattdessen mit schwierigeren, aber nicht höher bewerteten Elementen herumquälen. Daher halte ich Sannes Siege für gerechtfertigt.

This does not account for the fact that se only did a tour jete half, not a tour jete full... which would also lose her 0.1 on her D score? Does she not still get the 0.1 series bonus because you are allowed to repeat skills for that one?

I thought the same, but apparently the tour jete full was never credited in the previous days either, so in the TF she just went for a half one to be sure. Also, the tour jete is a different element than the one showed in this video, though they look very similar.

Arial Walkover+Split Jump+Kochetkova is worth 0.3 and not 0.4 ! Also Split Leap is an A skill now so no SB ! The final D score is 6.6 only.

That switch leap 1/2 is so poor in quality: no full split, bent knees, flat feet, poor arm position and under rotated. 😮. However the decision to downgrade the element was ridiculous and an example of throwing the book at a gymnast. Similarly poorly done switch leaps are done all the time and they don’t get downgraded, just clobbered with deductions.

Her switch 1/2 isn't bad, she DOES get a full split and legs are fully turned 1/2 in the air, there isn't underrotation here. Her upper body is also in line with the split, many people do that wrong.

@@takingchances3636 Nope, she’s using exactly the same skills and in addition she has even removed bed some of the hardest ones which she was inconsistent on them. Changing the order of the skills doesn’t mean you change your routine, lol. Name me ONE single skill Simone does that she wasn’t doing past competitions. Maybe the way she mounts is a bit different now but that’s all

The cool thing is that you mention Biles, because she makes the same things more difficult, right?! With the exception of UB. But Biles' beam has changed the order, yes, and above all, it's consistent. There's no point in Wevers doing the same routine if she can't get back on the podium after the 2016 Olympics. My theory: she got lucky with Biles' mistake in the final 😅

Never say never. She has her ups and downs. When Biles messed up, she waltzed in and took the gold. People are still upset about that even today. She's also got gold in 2023 at Europeans. She may well be in the final again if she doesn't make any big mistakes.

I don't like her routine at all There were a lot of pauses in between the elements but she got the points fir connection values when they were not connected. Her legs were bent in some moves (e.g. the cartwheels). It was just a very ugly routine with little flow to earn points.

I think regardless of D score, the one who is consistent on the day of the event will win. The problem with connections is if you miss then you’ll lose more points whether it be D or E.

If she stays healthy and consistent there will be 2 US girls on the Olympic Finals with Suni Lee if she perfects her own routine which is more diff. Making the US weakest? Routine for the team not so weak anymore as Biles also brought her Double Double/Fabrichova dismount back to add her diff. FX-Biles, Jade, Shilese UB-Biles, Shilese, Suni BB-Biles, Shilese, Suni V-Biles, Jade, Suni/Shilese

Eu amo a ginástica da Romênia mas é óbvio que os elementos da Sabrina tem erros de execução nas aberturas que deveriam ser de 180 graus tanto na trave quanto no solo, a técnica dela, que também é mãe dela, deveria trabalhar um pouco mais isso ao invés de focar tanto em dificuldade
