On a binge of strength here, awesome grip displayed. When you add 3 inches of height to Anders, and subtract 25 kg, he's a bona-fide doppelgänger of Hafthor's dad.

ya, the grip is the key, because the kilograms are half of a half ton, i think that the powerlifters like larry wheels, thor, eddie hall, the top 10 guys that are lifting in 430, 50 or 70 kilograms with help in grip, if they only use the grips without nothing i think they could beat this records, i dont know for sure

When deadlifting, I find a grip one fist wider than my shoulders work best for me, and i know jack sh t about powerlifting. To isolate muscles , i use a hip width grip.

The bar is an apollon axle which has a wider diameter than a usual bar making it very difficult for the grip.

awesome competition I kind of wondered though why they didn't have a set up to mainly focus on the grip without having to really truly incorporate the other muscles you know have a set up where they're only basically having to lift it a few inches because it is a grip competition after all I didn't really see the point of needing to do a full deadlift to prove that they can pick it up regardless awesome comp🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
