I was here a month ago, and I just can't stop thinking about it. We arrived at the upper falls first, alone. And myself, my son, and my wife had a dip on the water (which was very cold) and I felt like I was being transported to another world. The way the jungle wraps around above the falls above you is so scenic and beautiful.

The town looks lovely, but the hillsides seem barren. I thought they have wild fig trees growing all around the island.
To be fair, I was only there for a couple of nights & didn't get to explore the rest of the island beyond Ermoupoli

The mantras that are chanted t pray to Lord Siva would blow any body's mind even today in 2024. They mantras talk about the understanding of the advanced mathematics, engineering, earth sciences, zoolory and biolgy by the ancients

Hi Sue, We will be visiting Tinos this year and loved your video. You mentioned that you got the bus, for a tour of the island at the bus station. We're staying about a 15 min walk from there, My questions are - How did you find out about the bus? What's the tour bus called? How did you book your ticket. Hi Annmarie & glad you loved the video! Thank you. We heard about the bus tour from a comment somewhere, or maybe a blog? Anyway, the bus goes from the bus station in Tinos Town. I believe it leaves at around 11am & it is only aroun €15 if my memory serves me well for the day. It is the best €15 you will spend on your entire trip! It is not with a tour company but you can just buy tickets from the bus station counter along the parade of shops by the bus station. We just walked in early that morning & booked for the day. It is a great way as you can see to see what the island has to offer. I hope that gives you all the info you need. And if you do go on the tour, please come back here & comment on how it was. Enjoy Tinos, it's beautiful & I'm very jealous!

It is literally a tour but done from the main bus station. There is only one bus a day so my advise is to go earlier to book your tickets. There is a very knowledgable guide who took us to each of the locations, talked to us about each of them & then left us a few minutes to explore ourselves before we moved on again. I hope that helps.

My wife and I have been to Liquillo three or four times and always stayed at Liquillo Sunrise Beach Hotel. We love frequenting the Kioskos as well! Liquillo is a great location for a couple of days before we head over to Vieques. We love the Bio Bay too, we do the tour just about every time we go. Thanks for taking us along on your visit.
