followed your video to the point after selecting correct coordinates, and clicking on the qgis 2threejs button, the 3D window is blank only showing the clear blue sky... I must have done or not done something alone the way...pls help?

Do you have a video for taking that polygon area and somehow telling it to optimize a design for parceling the polygon into streets and lots of a particular size and geometry?
@compasa963 Жыл бұрын
I drew a polygon and even a circle but i still get NULL for the area field. Is there a step that I perhaps missed in configuring? I've tried creating the polygon in a temp scratch layer like your video and even in a shapefile layer as mentioned, but area still returns NULL.

Most likely has to do with your CRS. Try EPSG 4326

Hi Drew, thanks for the demonstration. Do you know if you can apply the wave function to line fill patterns within polygons?
@drewfrench87842 жыл бұрын
As far as I understand it this function is for line or edge, not fill. You would want to use the raster fill or svg fill for that type of thing.

Hello! Congratulations for the video! Do you know how I can do to visualize a 3d line in 3dspace, connecting (example), a point with z = 30 meters and a distant point at a z=0?
@drewfrench87842 жыл бұрын
It isn't too hard with Qgis2threejs - just make sure your line/polygons/points are selected and that they are relative to the DEM. If it looks correct in the viewport than you should be able to export as gltf. I think you will have to go into QGIS and create your desired vectors first.

Hello thanks for the video, I have used Qgis2threejs starting from a shp file to create Milan in 3d volumes, I want to export this to a file in 3d format (.obj .3dm .stl or others).. Is there a way to do that ? ;)
@drewfrench87842 жыл бұрын
You can only export from Qgis2threejs in glft format as far as I know, but you can open it in Blender and then export as obj.

Nice and helpful vid! Could u please make a video on how to make a QGIS webapp with some plugin or something, which can be editable and we can add custom code in it too?
@faustin2892 жыл бұрын
Very good initiative. Kudos to the developer of this nice plugin. It was a badly needed feature and core developers of QGIS seemed not keen to add it.

Please make a video on making shaded relief maps from QGIS to Blender. And if you want to add vintage maps, that'll be really great!

Not bad. A couple of comments. First 1/3 arc second is more like 35 feet than 100 feet. Also, when I convert meters to feet, a better formula is DEM/0.3048. I admit it is nitpicking, but the scripting takes the same effort.
@drewfrench87843 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing that out! I mixed up 1/3 and 1 arc second somehow.
