How we would like to be able to join your group... Both my wife and I were part of a Samba group in the Basque Country. She with the Chocalho and I with the caixa. Too bad we're a little far away... Axé!

This is wonderful! I am using your video with my students here in California to add bucket drumming to our Spring Concert. This is a long shot, but you don't happen to have the notation for the rhythms do you?

That's both cool and adorable! With Samba Funk did you mean like a Groovy Funk or an actual Brazilian Funk type beat? Cause it does sound like the latter but with the accents on the beats instead of the counterbeats. That might be a term i'm not familiar with. In any case, great work!

Hi there The video is taken during a community zoom class where nobody has played drums/percussion before. I pick out complementary parts of each song we cover to make the sessions fun. Indeed, sometimes we play the vocal or guitar lines to make things more interesting. The videos are mainly for the class attendees to look back at from that days lesson. I hope that puts things into more of a perspective?
@CONTRABANDqld2 жыл бұрын
@@rhythmstick8170 aha, of course, that makes complete sense, but there is that thing of learning things correctly as they won't learn how to learn by ear. You could still keep it straight double time with the rolls, as drum rythym to guitar need to be independent but also together. I'm not sure what approach is best. But I think explaining what part you are using/ following would be beneficial
