Absolutely majestic in every way. Been what 9? years since they installed the windows. Clearly no expense has been spared. Detroit deserves every bit of this.

A parking garage should be built in that open lot by the train station....I always thought that "cold storage" would've been a great spot for a Meijer Essentials, like downtown.

I love the construction in my city but why is everything a rental unit and not a mortgage? People are being squeezed for every last penny, even in a modestly priced city like Detroit. I'm grateful for the fact that my military service granted me the opportunity to own a piece of Detroit, and not perpetually rent from corporate douchebags.

Only thing missing is a public transit line! That parking looked like a hassle. The cold storage building will have some great views, Coachman turned out really nice.

Jefferson Chalmers is becoming my new fav Det neighborhood. It's so unique there really isn't a neighborhood in the city you can compare it to. I love the wide diversity in types of housing, it feels like it was built to be its own little downtown away from downtown Detroit. The canals make it so different in a good way. Developments like coriander kitchen is a good start but I really think the waterfront and canal areas are very underutilized as far as public spaces are concerned. There is tons of potential with this neighborhood.

Wow what a gem this thing is. Would be super cool if it was actually turned into a function passenger station. This would blow away most other cities' stations.

It used to be a train station. The railroad that passes near Michigan Central runs through the rail tunnel connecting Windsor ONT to Detroit MI. Amtrak has been negotiating a deal to use the tunnel for passenger rail service, once a new rail tunnel between the two cities are constructed to handle double stacked container cars.
