Was right behind the goal that day. Hampden was rocking after it happened. Clemence was a decent keeper in his day but you have to laugh at the English going on about Scottish Keepers with their proud record of Clemence, Seaman, James, Robinson, Carson, Green, Hart at International Level.
@macocaire13143 жыл бұрын
This is typical of what Scotland has to put up with in this union dominated by our bigger and greedy neighbour. Notice the English commentator's remarks are all concentrated on the poor English keeper instead of the magnificent Scottish goal. One fekin day Scotland, one day.

Des O'Connor also loved his football and played a few times for Northampton Town reserves just after the war,By his own admission he was pretty fast as a winger,it was just that he sometimes forgot to take the ball with him!!

It was an especially joyous moment for Scots who were sick of hearing jokes about Scottish goalies to have the English goalkeeper nutmegged at Wembley.Everyone can have an off day though and even Scottish fans respected him as a fine player.

In the newest one, it would help if they kept the building clean and picked up the litter. And those lampposts look terrible, must be possible for a better design? Perhaps different lampost designs to fit into each location rather than the one fits all solution? How a city looks can rub off a lot into the behaviour of the people. And it does not cost that much to clean buildings once in a while?
