What can I do so that I can still move after I use Farore wind?

You can only "jump" before the Phantom comes out by sliding off of ledges or platforms, and you keep holding the stick forward. The other is a teleport cancel, it's very specific, and that's why I only do it on the BF or PS2 platforms like you see in the video, or the double jump method facing inwards (watch the clips).

0:38 ayo, I lowkey wanna improve my byleth but I feel like I'm not understanding their vibe, if that makes sense. Like, I keep losing w them and I'm like I give up. How did you reverse back air like that instantly? Is that like a rar or the attack cancel version? I use a switch lite to play btw. 😭❤

If you want to play them because you genuinely enjoy them, then you have no reason to stop. I kind of get about "not getting" a character, maybe you're not sure if they're supposed to be "defensive" or rushdown, but Byleth lies somewhere in the middle. They're not at all complicated, since a lot of things come down to Nair out of shield and knowing how to space the Fair and Bair. Their conversions and combos are fairly simple, from things like fastfall Nair >grab/dash attack, and reading DI after the Up B. I do normal RAR Bairs, but sometimes people think I use some weird tecnique. I just play with Joycons, since the C stick is much closer than a GC controller, so it's faster, in a way. Instead of flicking the stick full opposite when turning around, I think I just stop at diagonal-up.

It's not like I don't put in the work to understand the characters. 😭 For me, I'm having trouble keeping pressure on the opponent. I am typically on the defensive side I usually do tilts, roles or even shoot arrows. Knowing when the nair's landing hitbox will hit or not is sort of a gamble to me. I usually go for a dash right after, but the last hit box doesn't go off so I end up getting punished for it. I should grab, but it's difficult to react in time for it. And I've never gotten the up B to down air combo to work yet. Up B is especially a move I don't fully grasp yet. And about that "weird tech" I was referring to, there's a tech in attack canceling similar to a rar where you cancel a dash attack into a back air, rar style. For me, this is a more convenient way to rar without flicking the circle pad super fast. I could link you to a video if you want, but you're already pretty incredible judging by these montages... so. 😭🤚 Also, you're so good at Zelda's Tele cancels. How did you get so good at performing them JFUSIHDHFJ

D Samus was lucky! The damage from the charge shot put D Samus at kill percent immediately before the spike. If that spike landed on PS2, the 1st spike would’ve killed without the double attempt!
