For 160 i bought the hp mini elite desk I5 2.5ghz 16gb ram and 1 tb ssd. Its great and plays all. I got the 2 tb kinhank and a 3 tb aliexpress coming. Curious to see wich lighter aaa games it can do. Playing ps1 and 2 and 3 np tho ps3 is a pain with settings. Xbox runs like a dream. Also found out that it got a m.2 slot 😳 so i could upgrade the 1tb ssd to 4 tb (still affordable) and put in a 4tb m.2 😍 this way i got 8 tb internally total. 5 tb games, 2 tb movies. A little beast of a mediacentre running at 15w to 45w max. Keeping it offline so im guessing it will be stable for years. But also bought an icybox for databackup. So it should not be a problem. Nice review, cool to see the differences between my system and yours for the same pricepoint. Think its close and totally depends on needs. What i like best is the abbility to build this all by myself wit 0 experience. Also to have 2 drives internally is insain omg. I can remember buying a 500mb hd 🙈😂 those were the days. But wow how far this has come. All gamingsystems with all games ever can be on 1 drive 😳 this blows my mind.

@@DJC_Arcade hey mate, It such a difficult question as the emulator runs some games great at 4K then might struggle with others at native resolution The CPU is more essential than the gpu. I built a system with a gtx1650 in which ran ok but wasn’t a great cpu in it, I can’t remember what it was now but the emulator is heavily dependant on the cpu so something with 6 cores or above is recommended

I got this one to. After playing with it for about 1 month i can say its awesome. All i really want to play is ps1 and ps2, gamecube, dreamcast, n64, wii, wiiu, naomi. Higher end stuff. And sure i love giana sisters c64 is here aswell ect ect but mainly its awesome. I typ best gamecube games and top 25 its there. Best dreamcast games boom its there. Best ps1 its there.. This is crazy it truly does. In my old days everybody had 1 system... Now i got all of them running on minipc and my laptop wich only has 1ghz but can boost up to 2ghz wich runs ps2 most good enough. Gamecube np, dreamcast np ps1 np. Awesome i mean my laptop uses 12 watts 😂 and just take a controller with me and my train rides are to short 💯😂 Thx great honest review. I do agree they could do way better.

Hey, thanks for the view and comment So the program in the video is called Retrobat and it’s basically a free to download front end piece of software which controls all the emulators and roms in one program instead of having to use multiple emulators, So on the video it’s showcasing my ps3 collection which I’ll be adding to my 12tb build or any custom build that anyone might be interested ln, so basically the video you see is where you would select the games you scroll to what game you want to play click it and it will load, it’s basically for reference in case anybody asks me what ps3 titles are in my collection I can just link them to this video If you wanted to see the games running full screen 3 of my last videos I made in my channel are all over 2 hours long and they show all these games and the settings I use to play them which took me over a month of setting up So as I said it’s just as a reference and to show my finished collection with all the artwork and videos etc Thanks again

@@biggie01taws6 if you see my last 3 videos I have all the settings for each and every game on here, non of the titles are on the unplayable section they’re all from either the playable, in game or no records found sections The in game section could be anything from graphical or sound issues or they might not be playable to completion but again the in game category games also might be playable to completion for the most part I test and play every title on my last videos and share the settings but obviously I only test them to a degree it took me about 3 weeks to do the setting up and testing I did!!! Just to let people know Resistance FoM isn’t fully playable as of 04/07/24. I’ve got to the level Devil at the Door and it keeps crashing. I asked on RPCs3 discord and was advised it had regressed so you might wanna hold out if you were thinking about playing it.

Nice performance, ton of work you putted in here. I never had PS3 but some crazy good titles you have here :) I wonder if 5800X with more modern GPU than 1080Ti would perform better or equally well. Did you make use of AVX512 instructions? Im not sure if your CPU support it or not, 5800X does not for sure. I`m getting tempted to go with Zen4 7600X because of AVX512 being used by RCPS3 but new MB and DDR5 cost is a bit much compared to maxing out AM4 platform. My current Zen+ R5 2600 is terrible at RCPS3 due to low speed CCX communication. TLOA was unplayable. Great vid, love it :)

Firstly thanks for the great comment I really do appreciate it!!! 😊 and with the 5800x cpu it’s a little weaker than the i9-10850k which i use but I’m not sure how much extra performance that would give as they aren’t a million miles away performance wise, as for the graphics card I’d say 100% a more modern card would get much better results!!! I really want to upgrade my old card but my bank says no way!!! 😂😂 but that’s something I’d really like to upgrade next. As for the ax512 instructions, I’m gonna be honest I’ve never heard of them so now you have mentioned them it’s something I’m 100% gonna look into so thank you for mentioning that!! And in TLOA did you mean The last of us? Or something else if so it’s really slow performance on the title even on a monster pc, if I remember rightly I get about 20+ FPS so it’s barely playable tbf!! Again thanks for the great comments, I’m hoping to have part 2 completed by this weekend the latest

@@petesilvers5053 Strange that im assuming its down to the resolution though in some way, is retrobat set to auto on the resolutuion? you could try and press the back/select button whilst in the sega model 3 wheel got advanced system options then goto video and change the resolution in there to that exact of your monitor, sometimes i get issues having multiple displays plugged in are you just using one monitor? try changing the resolution as above failing that and you have Gdrive you could send me your email and i will share my supermodel 3 file (no roms) and you can copy it over yours

Hey bud, I used a standard hdd not a ssd I used the Samsung 2.5” 1.5tb spinpoint drives so I didn’t have to convert the 2tb down, you can find them for about £25 used in the UK, it’s something I looked at doing also it looks like you get a little bit more space converting the drive down as the 1.5tb drive reads as around 1.3tb so you could potentially get about 15-20 more games on a 2tb shrunk down!! Hey, it depends what games you put on, they tend to vary from 6-20gb so this 1.5tb has 82 games but they’re all the top titles so on average let’s say it’s about 15gb so you will get 10-12 games on it The hdd are real easy to swap out thought it’s literally one screw to unlock the drive then some have 4 screws holding the drive in some just clip in and you can fit upto a 1.5tb 2.5” Hdd in and you can find them for like £20

i played ps3 for a long time, great console, plays great titles, but rarely runs well, most newer games run under 30fps, personally a pain, not to mentioon the technical issues although not as common as on ps4 still...

As I said you can never please everyone it’s impossible, but for me I wouldnt take any of them games off for either of them 2, I was never a fan of any wipeout game and with the racing I’m more a simulation type so!!!! I prefer the motorstorm titles to ridge racer, But yeah I suppose if you asked anyone to make a list of their top 80 games they would all be different!!! If you look at the official top 100 ps3 games you would be shocked what’s in there and what isn’t!!!!! Hey, thanks for the view and comment So the program in the video is called Retrobat and it’s basically a free to download front end piece of software which controls all the emulators and roms in one program instead of having to use multiple emulators, So on the video it’s showcasing my ps3 collection which I’ll be adding to my 12tb build or any custom build that anyone might be interested ln, so basically the video you see is where you would select the games you scroll to what game you want to play click it and it will load, it’s basically for reference in case anybody asks me what ps3 titles are in my collection I can just link them to this video If you wanted to see the games running full screen 3 of my last videos I made in my channel are all over 2 hours long and they show all these games and the settings I use to play them which took me over a month of setting up So as I said it’s just as a reference and to show my finished collection with all the artwork and videos etc Thanks again
I'm curious as to what kind of tweaks you had to make within RPCS3 just to get a few of those games to run and to what extent, since some of the titles you have are listed on their so called "unplayable list" lol.
@@biggie01taws6 if you see my last 3 videos I have all the settings for each and every game on here, non of the titles are on the unplayable section they’re all from either the playable, in game or no records found sections The in game section could be anything from graphical or sound issues or they might not be playable to completion but again the in game category games also might be playable to completion for the most part I test and play every title on my last videos and share the settings but obviously I only test them to a degree it took me about 3 weeks to do the setting up and testing I did!!! @@RicksRomzUK I guess I should have been more correct in my statement when I said "unplayable"...I kind of forgot about some games being listed as "in game", for example, instead of "unplayable" so my bad on that...oops🤣 But yeah, I will definitely check out your other videos on the correct RPCS3 settings for these games because I have a lot of the same games you showed and haven't been able to play them simply because I didn't know what the correct settings were lol. Just to let people know Resistance FoM isn’t fully playable as of 04/07/24. I’ve got to the level Devil at the Door and it keeps crashing. I asked on RPCs3 discord and was advised it had regressed so you might wanna hold out if you were thinking about playing it.

TIMESAMPS ARE BUGGED So i tried over and over with the timestamps and I got to the point where if I add any one of the games that hasn't got one they all stop working, its just bugged to hell so i will leave as is for now as the most work

Great video thanks. Was browsing laptops under £100 on auction on eBay and n95 went for £119 in the end. Never heard of the CPU before but looks good. Wonder how laptop on battery compares to box.

Nice performance, ton of work you putted in here. I never had PS3 but some crazy good titles you have here :) I wonder if 5800X with more modern GPU than 1080Ti would perform better or equally well. Did you make use of AVX512 instructions? Im not sure if your CPU support it or not, 5800X does not for sure. I`m getting tempted to go with Zen4 7600X because of AVX512 being used by RCPS3 but new MB and DDR5 cost is a bit much compared to maxing out AM4 platform. My current Zen+ R5 2600 is terrible at RCPS3 due to low speed CCX communication. TLOA was unplayable. Great vid, love it :)
Firstly thanks for the great comment I really do appreciate it!!! 😊 and with the 5800x cpu it’s a little weaker than the i9-10850k which i use but I’m not sure how much extra performance that would give as they aren’t a million miles away performance wise, as for the graphics card I’d say 100% a more modern card would get much better results!!! I really want to upgrade my old card but my bank says no way!!! 😂😂 but that’s something I’d really like to upgrade next. As for the ax512 instructions, I’m gonna be honest I’ve never heard of them so now you have mentioned them it’s something I’m 100% gonna look into so thank you for mentioning that!! And in TLOA did you mean The last of us? Or something else if so it’s really slow performance on the title even on a monster pc, if I remember rightly I get about 20+ FPS so it’s barely playable tbf!! Thanks for the great positive comments so yeah there’s stacks of repeat games that’s my pet hate with the drive but for the money it’s fine tbf or if you seen a second hand one cheap enough but I supply drives mate and build custom to order so all the retrobat/batocera builds you see on my channel are my builds!!! @@petesilvers5053 Strange that im assuming its down to the resolution though in some way, is retrobat set to auto on the resolutuion? you could try and press the back/select button whilst in the sega model 3 wheel got advanced system options then goto video and change the resolution in there to that exact of your monitor, sometimes i get issues having multiple displays plugged in are you just using one monitor? try changing the resolution as above failing that and you have Gdrive you could send me your email and i will share my supermodel 3 file (no roms) and you can copy it over yours

Hey bud, I remember the name 🤣🤣glad to hear your still using it!!! it’s just the standard resolution buddy and there’s no patches for it, well the folder I have hasn’t any patches for this version, there’s a patch for PGR3 but not this, it seemed to run real well odd dip but probably 3 times in an hour and my pc is dated!!!!

Hey bud, I used a standard hdd not a ssd I used the Samsung 2.5” 1.5tb spinpoint drives so I didn’t have to convert the 2tb down, you can find them for about £25 used in the UK, it’s something I looked at doing also it looks like you get a little bit more space converting the drive down as the 1.5tb drive reads as around 1.3tb so you could potentially get about 15-20 more games on a 2tb shrunk down!! How many games can you get on the 160gb hard drive with this?
Hey, it depends what games you put on, they tend to vary from 6-20gb so this 1.5tb has 82 games but they’re all the top titles so on average let’s say it’s about 15gb so you will get 10-12 games on it The hdd are real easy to swap out thought it’s literally one screw to unlock the drive then some have 4 screws holding the drive in some just clip in and you can fit upto a 1.5tb 2.5” Hdd in and you can find them for like £20
i played ps3 for a long time, great console, plays great titles, but rarely runs well, most newer games run under 30fps, personally a pain, not to mentioon the technical issues although not as common as on ps4 still...

You need Wipeout Hd and Ridge Racer 7 on there mate :) I recently did a build with all the 3D compatible titles for my old Sony 3D Bravia.
As I said you can never please everyone it’s impossible, but for me I wouldnt take any of them games off for either of them 2, I was never a fan of any wipeout game and with the racing I’m more a simulation type so!!!! I prefer the motorstorm titles to ridge racer, But yeah I suppose if you asked anyone to make a list of their top 80 games they would all be different!!! If you look at the official top 100 ps3 games you would be shocked what’s in there and what isn’t!!!!! There’s some right shit 😂😂But anyway thanks for the view and the comment bud really appreciate it
