I love that this beat has a whole other Turkish life. Still keen to know what this version is about and hear how our beat made it to you guys? I see via translate that some say "it's just the same sample" but it's the whole production, including the flute my friend Leenie added. Feel free to mention the beat came from "Australian Story" by Rainman (produced by Sammsonite, featuring flute by Leenie).

Yeah it's definitely the same beat. This song was in a controversial mixtape called "Nafile" from 2009. I don't know the exact details of the drama but basically the mixtape was put together by an organization called "Hiphoplife" as an intimidation to one of the big guns of the Turkish rap scene, Sagopa Kajmer and contained 37 songs from 37 different rappers. Some songs were disses and some of them were regular songs like this one. In fact, this song tells somewhat of a wholesome story of a kid (presumably Kayra himself), roaming around in his neighbourhood on the day of his little brother's birth. Kayra was almost exclusively working with the producers Bitap and Farazi at the time so I don't know how he ended up with your beat but I can only guess they must have not want to be in the mixtape. Farazi even remixed the song and included in their album "Yerel Radyo EP" one year later in 2010. But they had a falling-out recently and Kayra doesn't use Farazi's beats anymore in concerts so that's probably why they're still using this beat lol. And if you're interested the lyrics goes like: [Verse 1] I never forget, I was the first one to wake up that day Turning on the TV used to be the first thing I did in the mornings The channel that we were blessed with after TRT, It stood proudly there with its star; Interstar Then Show TV came along but I wouldn't let go I don't think I can do with anything other than TRT It was a day of March, you see, I was the first one to wake up Bothered by my voice, my father woke up too He looked around a bit, opened some windows: "Weather is nice, let's not fire up the stove today. And you, keep it down!" I nodded and laid back in the bed Meanwhile there was a commotion inside the house Because there was someone whose birth was awaited at home The table was set quickly then the folks left I was home alone and my father warned me: "Don't go outside" I'm afraid, o Zapkinus, I didn't listen [Verse 2] I don't have the keys on me and I went outside "Weather is nice" we said, jinxed it right away A little rain and a bit of wind... I waited for a while in that spot where the rain doesn't fall on I waited and waited and got really bored The rain has stopped eventually My destination was clear in my head; A sandy pitch in a place called Onurkent I watched an amateur match there for about 10 minutes Really all you do is nothing but a futile struggle on that pitch While Esentepe and Beşbinevler battle it out, My destination has changed: Atakan's house I shouted a lot from outside, the bastard doesn't hear it Finally his mother answered: "Atakan is not home, he's away at the village" I didn't believe it of course; he's inside watching He-Man He sold me out again [Verse 3] If you're alone, waiting is a great cruelty The steps in front of the house are my consolation I thought "Nobody's coming I suppose, just wait here" And fuck Atakan too, he sold me out for He-Man I didn't scratch any marks on the wall but all to my forehead I drifted off whiling away the time I was awakened to the sound of the yellow cab I watched and see my father inside With all kinds of stuff in his hands, he opened the door He remembered and said: "Your brother was born!" How happy I was, I didn't know how to celebrate I could barely wait for the morning A crowd in the house, relatives were everywhere The voices outside, the type of ones calling my name... So I went out to the balcony; Atakan's there He's asking me to come outside I said "Fuck off!", but went anyway
