FUCK COLORADO!!! I have a storage full of traps I can not use in the this fucking POS state. They informed me it is illegal for me to even ask farmers/ranchers to hire me to do animal damage control. This guy has been around for yrs and so of course he is hooked up, but me I am fucked! And we don't have bobcats around here from what I have discovered so cage traps are a joke, Try catching coyotes in one.

I agree, completely uneducated people and emotions. I believe most people when they think of a trap they see in their mind, the old school bear traps with teeth and that stems from cartoons when they were kids. That’s my personal belief

Scary truth, it's a slippery slope, whether you use a walnut stock 30-30 or an AR 15 to hunt with, whether you trap/hunt for fur or meat, damage of landscape, or protecting livestock and homestead,, we are all in this together ! Set aside your opinion on tools and methods and step up

Great info. I plan to donate and share. The sad thing is the people that will watch this and do nothing. Dan is so right about all of us being sportsman and need to present ourselves in that light for a unified front.

Where I trap and have traped for over 40 yrs, you'd better burie your drag or your not going to catch any older coyote, fox an cats you can get by with just chucking the drag the the way you do Butch Briody N.M.

Anthill dirt for trap bedding?#642207 03/20/08 09:31 PMJoined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,506 Kanabec Cty, MN D Drakej OP trapper When I was a young trapper a very successful old trapper that I should use the dirt from active anthills because they soil is coated with a substance by the ants to make water repellent protecting the colony openings. Anyone know if this might be true? Or use it. They do seem to stand up to wet conditions without getting muddy and they don't seem to freeze as hard as the ground. Coul be a natural substitute for waxed dirt.

1- Fischer - fur in or out for sales? Assuming Fischer are to be on wood stretchers 2- Does it matter if fur is in or out on any animal if keeping for yourself and sending to a tannery? Thanks guys

You guys mounted a coyote for Charlie Masack. He bought that coyote from me in Kansas. I didn’t skin it for taxidermy although it did have the feet on all fours. Even though it wasn’t skinned for taxidermy you guys did a great job on the mount. He has it on his trapping show as his mascot spot. Every time I see it I love it. Thanks for a great job mounting it.
