Never start this engine without fan case. The air will not flow around the cylinders and they can be easily overheated even engine run in idle. Oil temp will be ok despite this.

Do the turbo engine got different pistons vs the nonturbo? I have a r81 bus and two 160 trucks, as engine donors. Easyest would be just out the turboparts in the bus, but may there become failures?.. Love this build!

Hi, the Turbo engine has a lower compression than the non turbo, because of the pressure the turo generates, but i don't know, how they realized the lower compression, with different pistons or a different cylinder head. In addition, the turbo engine spreys oil at the bottom of the piston for cooling the piston, for this there is a injector in the crankcase. So it ist not that easy to switch only the turbo on to the non turbo engine... Why not switch the complete engine, if you have one? Best regards from Germany!

@@warrioroftheroad96 A swap world be best then. I got one complete from a 170 4x4 milktank truck, still in the loader. But I altso got the oem turbo engine from the 160 with some rods holes in.. Your KZread and webside is gold! -for me!

@@saxshoot A complete engine from a truck is the best, because it's components are made for a vehicle and you don't have to change so mutch... Happy we could belp with our documentatiom!

@@tuanrizkhan i dont have done soo much, just taken away ererything i dont need, like the turners or the numberplate holder and the lights. So you have maby 10kg less on the bike. And the exhaust from jolly moto is also way lighter than the original! And it revs much better!! Then i disassembled the engine an bought new bearings and seals. I also checkt the crankshaft and assambled a new piston with rings. At least i looked after the carburator and cleaned it. The first test run was pretty good, but i couldnt shift over the 3 gear, because the road was too short... I hope i could help you, if you have questions, i try to answer it as good as my enlish alowes it;)

M109 refers to the shop van on back,not the truck itself, the truck is a M35A2

Actually, I belive the proper nomenclature is "2-1/2 ton 6x6 M44A2 Series Truck", with this particular example being outfitted as an M109 Shop Van. The M35A2 version of the M44A2 series is outfitted as the more prevalent, cargo/troop carrier truck.

The M109A3 was built by Kaiser Jeep and Kaiser Jeep for the most part had slate grilles and their headlights below the hood near the bumper.This truck is probably a M185A3,which is the same vehicle,but built by AM General. After 1970,they all look the same.
