Howdy! I'm jimerado, and I love taking road trips and making travel videos. I especially enjoy being on the road, and documenting the actual drive getting to where I am going. Most of my trips are in my home state of Kentucky and neighboring states, but not always. I also like to discuss books, music, people, animals, and personal stories relating to my adventures.

I live in Columbia
That is actually not the real location of Fort Harrod . The location of the original fort is about a mile from the park. If you turn right on US 68 North like your leaving Harrodsburg going to Lexington. Just before you get out of town is our old High School. There is a big black barn next to the school, on the back side. That is the original location.
I've been to Columbia a few times. I grew up in Campbellsville.
What rooms face the pool? What was your room number?
Hey Elizabeth. Not sure about the exact rooms that face the pool. We were in room 428.
Ive lived in probably 8 states and this is the best pizza ive ever had
YES! I am craving it right now!
Great video !!!!!!!!! Cool facility
Hey, thanks! We love this place and what they are doing!
I use to do the peacock sound for my girlie when she was little..... she loved animals

This is the video I really meant to share. It’s hilarious.
Thanks!
When ?
Hey Mike, this is from May 2023
Should definitely go to paoli peaks. Also, i would like it if you could drive around the neighborhoods.
Thanks! yeah, I need to get back out to the area for sure!
Love this you should try and go back on Memorial Day weaked for thr Feast of the Flowering Moon festival. It's wonder my mother is from their, I spent a great deal of time for summer vacations and spring breaks there I love Chilicothe. Great job❤
Hey, thank ya! I do plan on getting back sometime this year. GREAT town!
Pumpkin Show, not festival. I grew up there in the 70s. I went to Atwater elementary, which is now gone. I saw Star Wars for the 1st time at the movie theater downtown.: gone. We used to go to the Starlight drive-in, which is also gone. We swam at the pool at Ted Lewis park every summer, also gone. My sister still lives there and I visit her occasionally. This will always be a very special place to me. It is sad to see that so many places from my childhood are long gone.
Oh, and Circle D bowling alley, also gone. 😒
Hey, thanks! I feel the same way about the town where I grew up.. but there are still a few things special there, that I like going back to.
you need to show Jennerado too :D
:)
i go to school in georgetown, and a fun fact about the painting on the side of the wall is that if you look at the woman with the kids, that’s actually our elementary school principal! her ex husband painted that, and payed tribute to her by painting her with her daughters.
That is such a COOL STORY! Thanks for letting me know about that!
@@jimerado2150 of course!
I'll be leaving for Alaska in two weeks, on the NCL Bliss. The hiking trails at the top of the mountain should be open, if nobody has been eaten by a bear, in a while.
Let me know how your trip goes!
@@jimerado2150 OK
Glad you like our little town. Check out New system bakery and Carl's townhouse.
Thanks Doug! Ill make a note to stop by next time I am in town!
Such a shame they closed the place 😔
YES! I just heard! I hate to hear this!
Cool place...it's me VT from the old hometown. These are cool videos...keep m coming...
Hey, thanks J Drake, I appreciate that!
Spent some time here at towne square in the day...always enjoyed Lincoln Mall more.
Hey, thanks for stopping by! Check out my Owensboro playlist.... I have a video from the Lincoln Mall there! I LOVED that place too! Me and my friends always felt like we had the whole place to ourselves!
@@jimerado2150 I still have a movie ticket that I went to from the Mall Twin Cinema... $1.50.
@@jimerado2150 was still going to Lincoln Mall in it's final days in 2004. Dan's Barber shop and The Clothesline consignment shop still had leases when the church took it over and both businesses continued to operate in the mall until their leases expired.
Thanks for posting this! I'm looking forward to your coffee shop recommendations. I like to walk around Point Park on top of Lookout Mountain. That's where you can take your own iconic photo with the Civil War cannons looking down on the city.
Hey, thanks! I will be putting up some short coffee shop videos from Chattanooga over the next couple of weeks.
Sebree Kentucky looks like Mexico, more Mexicans than Americans living in Sebree. I doubt many of them are there legally. Town was great in the 1980s and early 90s but now not so much.
I agree, in another 10 years it will be mostly Mexican living there
Hi! The museum is newly reopened and definitely worth a visit next time you’re in town. It’s the big yellow brick/red tile building that you passed in Riverfront Park.
Thanks! Yes, I need to get back there soon!
Also, im an admirer and lover of history as well. Im a big time Civil War buff. I like to visit old cemeteries from the civil war era. If you're ever here in Georgia there are a few i know about and have visited. One is a Confederate cemetery in Jonesboro Ga. Very well kept and maintained. The history of it dates back during 1864, or 5 i believe. The battle of Jonesboro when a Confederate division were being pushed back and they took their final stand ultimately being defeated. The headstones have names and ranks that are still readable to this day. You can't miss this cemetery when looking for it. It still has the confederacy flag flying high. If you're in Jonesboro Georgia? Try and do a video for that visit too. Great video. New sub!
Hey, thanks! I love Georgia, but have not made it to Jonesboro yet!
Crazy how i would have this video slide in to my algorithm 1month before my family and i head to Chattanooga for my sons baseball tournament being held there.
Thanks again! Have fun in Chattanooga..... If you are still wanting more baseball after your sons game, maybe you can catch a Lookouts game!
There are many Confederate cemeteries that have statues that will not be coming down.
Never heard of it
Hopefully, war cemeteries such as Silverdale won't be vandalized. There are Democrat politicians in power today who would revel in their destruction.
Im headed there end of july. Cant wait to sit in the general lee gives me goose bumps and im 56 years old. I dont care yehaw!!!!!! As long as that rebel flag is on the roof. Faorite show growing up. I had an orange bicycle named general lee. I jumped that bike over everything i had a blast. Fastest bike in the neighborhood yehaw!!!!!!
Oh yeah, when I loved it to when I was a kid. Still have some DVDs I pop in every now and then.......
How do the wine glasses not break in rough seas?
Interesting question, but they seemed to pretty much stay where they were..... I DID have to rearrange them at one point..... they were clinking through the night.
Thank you so much for doing this video.
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Golden lamb is the oldest building in Ohio, but, it closed many times and reopened. Olde wayside inn has never closed. It's always been open, making it the oldest operating Inn and restaurant in Ohio. I once worked there for Grace Lafferty.
Nice info! AND a very cool area! I bet working there was great!
Thank you so much for all you included in the video! Since it is a new hotel, it was not easy to get any info.
Yeah, I noticed that too! Glad you found it helpful!
Good luck, let me know if you do!
I would love to go here and try to beat the homewrecker challenge. Or at least try lol
Good luck! Let me know if you do!
Dang
Agreed.
The park in the middle of town that you drove by was the actual camp site for Morgan's Raiders
OOhh! That is interesting! Thanks! I love knowing exact spots where things like that happened!
Sebree springs is where the barbecue festival was once. As I recall it was just a few miles south of sebree. I've been away from there for at least 55 years. But it was once a big event. They had rides for the kids, and had a baseball game, barbecue mutton, soft drinks. When I was child it was a big deal and we looked forward to the event.😊
Thanks! Yes, it is a cute little town. Cool to hear about that festival!
My ancestors were at the Battle of Corinth in one of the Ky Union units.
Nice! Its cool that you have tracked your ancestors back to that!

What nearest airport to this museum? Been having this museum in my bucket 🪣 Least
I think there is a small airport in Somerset.... but Lexington would probably be the closest major airport..... Then you could rent a car to get there.
Классный город 👍привет из России🇷🇺
Thankyou!
Thank you for a great video. Art from Ohio
Thanks Art!
This is were I live
Its a very nice little town!
Not a town I'd wanna reaide in!
There was a Noble Roman's in Tallahassee, FL back in the mid 1980s! They did have Very Good Pizza! 🍕 They Stacked the toppings Really High! I found a Noble Roman's inside of a ISLAND/SUN STOP Gas Station/Store, in LAKE City, FL! Their Personal Size Hawaiian Pizza was good, (for 2024 decreased quality) But, the Price was like a Mike Tyson KO punch! Waaaaayyyyy too EXPENSIVE!
Yeah, I really loved them back in the day.
Getting off the bridge the first house down at the riverfront they tore that down and they are making a steakhouse restaurant ther very soon 2:04
Interesting. I look forward to getting back!
Ohhh noooo! Not the Grandy's. Awww, man. Great video.
Thanks! MMmm. Grandys.
I lived there on Vine St when I was young. It is a great little town. My brother n law is the sherif there. It's awesome
