Since 1923 God's name has been honored here! In the summertime, we host nine incredible weeks of camp where thousands of campers hear the Gospel of Christ! During the fall, winter and spring, we run youth retreats and rent the camp to groups.
Camp Siloam is a place where God shows up, and that's what we're all about!

Camp Siloam and Garner Creek Kennels have crafted a cute way to raise scholarship money for campers. Puppies! Chase Evans, owner of Garner Creek Kennels and former summer staff member, (2016, 18,19) came up with the idea. Evans raises highly trained hunting dogs. Training hunting dogs has been his passion for six years. Evans pledged to The Father that he would tithe a portion of the first pup he sold from his new kennel. Following through with his promise Evans made a gift for scholarships in 2021. Executive Director, Jason Wilkie, called Evans to thank Evans for the gift. During the conversation Evans proposed the idea of a portion of the sale of a trained hunting dog going to scholarships. Camp Siloam celebrates how Evans has found a way to use the gifts God gave him to further God’s Kingdom. Here’s how the program will work. Evans’ father, Gene, heard what Chase was doing and decided to donate a male black Labrador retriever for Chase to raise for his next gift to Camp Siloam. The puppy will be old enough to begin training during the first week of May. Camp Siloam will hold a Facebook contest to name the puppy. The Camp Siloam puppy will be in training for a year. During that year he will make visits to Summer Camp. He’ll learn to play in the creek, hang out with campers and he’ll pick his color team. At the end of the puppy’s training, he will be a highly trained bird dog and will be sold to a family who hunts. Evans’ trained dogs sell for $6,000-$10,000. A large portion of the sale of the dog will go toward scholarships. (Fifteen percent of the sale of the dog will go to the expenses of raising the dog.) The program is called “Pups for Campers.” Evans intends to raise and train another dog for 2023; Camp Siloam’s centennial year. Thank you, Chase, for letting God use you, your passion and gifting for training dogs to help kids hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. I cannot believe that it’s been two years since I went here. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I have a piece of paper that I got a ton of the staff to sign(including Tra & Matt) and that is one of my favorite things I have. Even though Tra signed it with red ink just for spite hahaha(I was blue team haha)! And I got Alex and a few other staffers to sign my shirt. This camp helped me so much. Thank you. <3

I understand your stance, I really regret that you were put into this situation. I have to say, my heart is broken thinking of the kids that have one place to worship openly, with others their age, and not be punished for it. Camp is one of the few places they have, outside the Church. How that will be replaced, I’m not sure, yet. God is sovreign, He will provide!
