  During the summer of 1967 when I was 15, my family moved from Utah to Virginia. That July we were living in a motel for six weeks while I was experiencing some significant angst about the religion I was baptized in. One afternoon during a light nap, a man dressed in a bright white robe bearing shoulder length blond hair, and piercing blue eyes appeared to me. Initially I thought, "Oh great. Another priest to criticize me!" However, this man assuaged my anxiety. "Jim, don't worry. Relax. Everything will be all right." His presence flooded me with divine love, something I had never experienced until then. For the next three days, I was walking on air unable to fathom what I had experienced. Of course, I never forgot this deeply impressionable experience. Years later after I became an ECKist, I saw a colored illustration of Gopal Das and knew this was the very same being who appeared to me in my hour of trouble. These Adepts are always present because thy are Co-workers with God, serving all life with love and gratitude.

  When my grand mother translated, I wanted to me with her and I did but the experience was scary, I wanted to know if she's happy, when I was ready mahanta took me to her and she was very happy, I even visited her house and she liked the dress I was putting on and she asked for it and I gave her, I was so happy, the experience was very real. I am very grateful for the dream experience and I know that my grand mother is happy in her new home

  I was in a very toxic situation. However, I had the ECK. So, I asked the Mahanta to show me a way out if it was for the spiritual good. So in a month or so I just forgot about making the request. Within 6 months the toxic person had moved out of my life. A few months later I received an inner nudge to sell my home even though my mind said otherwise. I went with the nudge. During selling of the home I found out from the buyer's inspector that the gas for the water heater and fireplace had been vented into the upper crawl space of the house. The house had pass inspection when I bought it. So I was not made aware of the problem before. I could not afford to fix the issue so my realtor said that the house should be sold "as is" even with the problem. The buyer immediately agreed, even with knowledge of the problem, to buy the house "as is." Thus the home was sold within five days of of listing. And within nine days of selling, I found a new place to live. I understood that the way everything unfolded was a spritual intervention of devine love. Miracles happen everyday and you learned to recognize them more frequently when you start on the path of ECKANKAR.
