I replaced mine. A pro-owned from the junk yard and after installing it. The vehicle wouldn’t start. So, I put the original back and it wouldn’t start either. After a while Googling. It looks like it needs to be programmed to your vehicle. Well after leaving the key on for a while (-20 minutes) before giving up. I turn the key on and the vehicle started.. thank goodness. So now, I am just going to drive the vehicle to a reprogram shop.

Thank you for video. 44000 owner and mechanic have seen this video. Maybe all cluster need replacement from these cars. I think the quality is not same high as prices are of these cars.

I'm having issues with my Jaguar XF.... I drove it for some minutes... Tried to reverse it was stuck in drive for long... I off it , later tried to on it but its still stuck in drive... Transmission failure is written on the dash board ...Gear not in park.... Had a battery warning. later... Battery will be off in 3 minutes..

What did you do to reprogram/flash the cluster? Can I buy a program to do it. I replaced cluster, got a couple of faults, suspension and car won't crank or start. and now it needs to be reprogrammed and only the dealer can do this where I live or so I have been told.

LJ'S Productions yes. I took it to the dealer. They only charged me $75 to do it.

Thanks for this. Very useful. I had a bit of trouble getting the unit to break free at the top over the gauges. It seemed to need lots of pry tools and some effort but finally it came loose then slid right out towards the drivers door.

Jaguar xf gear selector is stuck in park but wont even start or bitton come up it just makes a clicking sound and everything flashes on and off. How do fix it with out buying gear box

No the 2010 is different and will need alot of programming and updates to retrofit the cluster especially, programming the vehicles immobilizer and computer.

More likely that the problem lies in the poorly designed TC tensioners and guides. Land Rover has updated these parts.

You nailed it. I have the 2010 and I am about to change the timing chains, tensioners, & guides as well. Plan to do a whole video series on it as well. Ford (since it’s their motor) really should have issued a recall but instead they created an entire aftermarket business for this problem. Otherwise love my RR

Once there is oil pressure, the chain guides would take the tension out.

dagwood832000 if it is the 5.0 non supercharged and has a loud rattle/clatter noise more than likely the chains with upgraded guides and tensioner. If you have a supercharged 5.0 it could also be the supercharger nose/isolator
