I was just listening at first, and when you said there was a bullet at the bottom i thought you meant the blender brand so I rewound it so I could see. Haha. Yeah, can't really throw away bullets safely. Your local gun range/store will accept it and dispose of it safely. Thrifting is always an adventure, isn't it?

Unrelated - I saw this video before I went thrifting today and I found a Trashy Diva dress!! I totally would have passed right by it, but I looked up comps and it was a very good pick-up. It had a really unique print too. Thank you!

That's such good news! I almost passed it up also. If only we could look up every single thing.

My favorite thrift with me’s! I have that same Anna sui dress and it’s been sitting. Certain styles go for a lot, it’s such a hit or miss brand. It’s pronounced Anna swee btw. Not sue lol

Can you tell me the steps to find the sell through rates that you are showing on ebay? Thanks!

So when you list something for $35, do you actually get that much? Because I feel that I would get $25 offers…..or lower. 🤷♀️ Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
@CajunBelleThrifts27 күн бұрын
It's quite the process but important. If I think something can sell for $35, I will list it for $48. On eBay I always have a "20% off sale" running so the price would then be $38. I make offers to watchers for 10% off so then it is close to $35. On poshmark my normal offers are 20% off and then special middle of the month and end of the month offers are 30%. On Mercari there is a limit of 20% that can be offered so once again, right at the target price. I get plenty of lowball offers too, and just counter them at what I want. I do sometimes message people that keep sending me offers that $XX is my lowest. Sometimes it actually works. And then sometimes I just take a lowball because something has sat too long and I'd rather have the money to go source something better.

Great format! I like this way of discovery/reality way of shopping/listing. I find shopping videos can make me anxious sometimes when people pass up valuable items or pick up cheap items. Yarn is a crrap shoot. I used to buy expensive yarn to sell but now I only buy if its something that has a sold comp. I found a large hank of specialty yarn with a $150 tag...couldnt find any comp anywhere! Thrift had it for $20 so I left it. A knitter would be thrilled to find it. Fyi, skein is oronounced 'skain' like rain. There are skeins, balls, and hanks. Some skeins and all hanks need to be wound into balls before you can use them. Why not just produce balls, right? Yarn is weird but so beautiful, lol.

I'm a crocheter and aspiring knitter so naturally I love yarn. Aspiring, as in I have a large collection of knitting needles from thrifting but I haven't made anything yet. I always hit the crafting area first to see if there's some fun thing I don't have yet. Weirdly, I find that the cheaper/more common yarns sell better. A big lot of common red lion will sell fast, I guess because more people know the brand.
