Cars and Joshee

Welcome to Cars and Joshee. I'm Josh. I'll be sharing tips and information on purchasing, and installing, aftermarket performance parts for the GM G body (1978 -1987 Monte Carlo/El Camino/Malibu/Regal/Cutlass). I'll be sharing my mistakes and experiences with the intent to help others avoid the same mistakes.

This channel will be documenting the restomod of a 1983 El Camino that has been disassembled down to the frame and is now going back together. This '83 El Camino will be getting a LS engine with a LSA supercharger, along with a ton of aftermarket chassis/suspension upgrades.

If you're interested in LS swaps or performance upgrades to G bodies, please subscribe!

It's the gear for the air recirculating door. As long as you don't use the recirculating it should be fine

Hey Joshe, nice install. I'm ready to get one for my 1979 el camino /sbc and wondered how the unit performs for a daily driver in the 110 degree days in summer to the 10 degree mornings in winter? is it a good unit???? Thanks for your videos , Happy Independence Day, I'm doing a burnout today to let freedom ring, at 6800rpm thru pypes 3' exhaust with turn downs to let that freedom be heard, Lol

I can not thank you enough , I had just purchased this truck (90* weather) and it sounded like a train was in my blower . The higher I turned up the fan , the louder it got . After watching your video I immediately went to taking out the blower . Low & behold I found the same exact PC inside of it . Ford has got to know about this after looking at all the comments. This appears to be the norm when you hear this when you increase the fan level. Thank you so much for posting this video . Probably saved me hundreds of $$$ by NOT taking it to a mechanic . We all know how that would've turned out . 😊

First off, very nice videos. I have an 81 Elco and I am watching your build and learning. One question I have is regarding the vitange aire A/C install. I ripped out the old A/C too and have a blank plate in the hole. The old setup had the wiper trays that sat on top of the old a/c on the passenger side. Now I have installed my hood but that old part (looks like air screen filter) will not work. What did you do for this? Also I bought Sniper 2 and want to mount all the devices on that plate. How much room is needed for Vintage aire hoses to pads thru? Many other questions but this will help. Thanks

It's part of the baffle that moves when you switch from outside air to cabin air.
