  Hamas a Palestinian terrorist organization kidnapped over 200 Israelis some as young as nine months old they have the responsibility to return them immediately. They also have the responsibility to keep them safe and if they don’t and they are killed, it is the fault of Hamas and the Palestinians in Gaza not the Israelis. Hamas committed a criminal act.

  In 2022 a coalition government in Israel included an Arab party. The Supreme Court Justice, who is an Arab put a former Prime Minister of Israel in prison. One of the largest banks in Israel its chairman is an Arab. There are Arab parties in the Israeli parliament, Israeli Arabs. Serve in the IDF, they also serve as doctors and nurses in Israeli hospitals. There is no apartheid in Israel, and to say so is a lie and is dishonest and will provoke Jew hatred within the community.

  Jamaica Miles a school board member , is she a supporter of Hamas? Is she accusing the only Jewish state in the world of apartheid? Is she putting a target on the back of each Jewish student. Since Hamas is an organization which endorses Jew hatred should the Schenectady school board be investigated for antisemitism a violation of the civil rights of Jews within the district.

  Attacks on US Jews has increased over 700% since October 7. Attacks against Jewish students and children as well as adults.Jew hatred never dies, it just changes its form and the form used here is anti-Zionism. There is over 50 Islamic states and numerous Christian states but one Jewish state with about half the Jews of the world living there, a country, the size of El Salvador, with a democratically, elected parliament, facing terrorism from across its borders and within. Israel is a country founded by refugees from the Arab countries came 800,000 Jews, who were kicked out and pushed out of Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria,. Refugees from Europe also came to the new modern state of Israel. The jewish refugees did not come as colonialist. They came as refugees to their historical homeland. in 1864 the majority population of Jerusalem was Jewish, jews have always had a continual presence in Israel since the time of the first and second temples.In 1099 Jews take part in the defense of Jerusalem against the Crusaders.In 1100 AD Jews defend Haifa against the Crusaders.. from the 13th to the 19th century Jews were the main population of the Safed region. It is astonishing, hearing some of the misinformation presented to the city Council by citizens who are clearly displaying a hatred of Jews. most of this hatred can be found in our schools materials . Many of the Muslims that come to this country are from countries in which Jew hatred is a founding principal of their religion. Hopefully through education, which is not prejudicial, but deals with historical fact will change this although one can be realistically pessimistic about the results.

  I attended this event and felt that the LWV performed well. However, I disagree with the LWV’s directive that attendees cannot record or take pictures during the forum. Don’t they realize this is a public building, and they don’t have the authority to issue such a directive? Anyone should be able to take pictures or record in publicly accessible areas. ❤

  Thanks for your message. Are there particular areas of the video that you find difficult to hear? Are you listening to the meeting on your computer or broadcast? We monitor the sound during recording, and knowing these things can help us improve the quality. One challenge is when members of the public don't speak directly into the podium microphone - maybe we can ask the council to make note of that before privilege of the floor begins.
