  I was stationed there in 68-69. Alot to see. A lot to learn from its history. 1049'd to Nam, but, I'd always like to go back. Especially during Octoberfest! Munich and Gaulselfingen are other personal very important points for me, too. Unfortunately, the old SS barracks, I had lived in, are no longer standing.

  I been there twice when vacationing in 2015 and 2019. Tourist don’t realize what a wonderful city Bologna is and the history. Rick Steves totally ignores this characteristic star. It deserves more recognition! Thank you! 😊

  My grandmother Frieda (and her mother, Oma Lily - who raised me ) were both born in Bremen. 🎆 I treasure the Grimm legend about the Bremerstadtmusikanten🐎🐕🐱 🐓 and, yes, we had a diminutive hand-carved, beautifully hand-painted, statuette of these symbolic &loyal animals!👍 I also very much admire the historical Knight Roland... grateful that the large statue of him in Bremen is so well crafted and so honored! However - Sir Roland did not live &/or die merely for the freedom of the merchant class! He lived and died as a brave servant of the King of Kings whose birth we celebrate every December: Blessed Jesus, the Risen and Reigning Christ and Lord.🙏♥️👑 A Healthy and Meaningful 2023 to everyone (who may care to receive such sincere greeting)!✨️
