    This was an incredibly well done interview. Huge fan of Jean Smart. One of the best interviews I have ever come across as you don't see many interviewers who ask the intriguing unique questions and give long enough pauses for a genuinely great response very often. Awesome!

    I like how he's not interested in the method acting of losing yourself in a character even outside of the set. These types are basically hurting themselves and hurting the people around them. "What's the endgoal? Becoming a great actor? Get a life." It's both funny and true.

    The Jesus Revolution was so awesome, it helped me ground Jonathan as an Actor. I hope ppl who watch the Chosen see this film, it is so easy to have tunnel vision watching the Chosen alone and not be in tune to reality that Jonathan is not actually Jesus. Brilliance, love Kelsey G anyway but Jonathan was magnificent his performance of Lonnie…a flawed guy to be sure but what fruit came of his ministry, amazing.

    Watching this interwiev a year later! I never heard of Jonathan Roumie until watching in The Chosen,it touched me in a surprising way; His performance is very deep with a simple and expressive tenderness. I went to watch is other work in Jesus Revolution and was once again impressed by his performance, find the same tenderness and deep expression as in The Chosen.A great admiration for him and his beautiful work, many blessings to him!

    Dylan is such a natural storyteller. How the heck did you get in touch with him? He’s so off-grid!

  • @peterjrinaldi
    @peterjrinaldi3 ай бұрын

    Often, even actors who are off the grid are required to do a little press for a new film. That was the case here.

    I am happy to listen to this Podcast about your acting Jonathan! It’s great to hear you talking about your challenges in playing Jesus . Its a beautiful practice to take a few minutes to go into the dark room to pray to The Holy Spirit, to focus and to compose yourself before appearing on The Stage to play the Scene.🕊💕👏

    Dylan Baker is a very overlooked gem of a talent. He is like watching a person taking apart a watch and forget your watching someone with pieces on the table. Pretty soon you don't even care about the watch or even if it gets put back together. Then all of a sudden you hear ticking and then Dylan hands you the watch. And you say thank you.

    I missed this interview for 10 months and can't imagine how I did! I learned things about you I had not known, and enjoyed taking in each word with your sometimes funny, and always soothing voice. ( Where were you when I was in bumper to bumper traffic driving slowly to work down a NJ freeway?) Thank you so much for doing thei nterview. In 5 years I' m anticipating listening to another podcast again, as you discuss, " Life After The.Chosen."😢 those tears are mine, not looking foward to The Chosen's end.

    Thank you for sharing this video today with me . Jonathan Roomie shared his way he portrays Jesus and how he prepares fo his character and his voice and emotions that is needed for that scene and shares his life that made him able to act and use of his faith in Jesus Christ as he is capable Catholic and open to share divine and man versions of the character as best as he can. As well as mannerisms as Jewish Rabbi would. I enjoyed listening to this video . An as he acts in The Chosen tv series also. And other tv show performance as in NCIS officer I recently viewed . He had mentioned it on another interview and I thought I missed that show but surprised to see him in a scene so I was able to watch him act in another character. Great job! 😊🙏🇺🇲A fan of his and the cast of The Chosen also.
