I'm a 64 year old guy who grew up through the Glam Rock era. With your help I hope we can enjoy some memories from the 60's, 70's & 80's. To hopefully avoid copyright infringement, the songs will be covered by original & tribute acts. I look forward to any suggestions you may have.

It's so cool 😎 to see the Soul Train version of this! TY for sharing it! God Bless You & stay safe.
Carl Carlton story should be told he was a teen idol in Detroit in the 1970s. He did not want to leave the hood or our high school. Eventually he went to California and really became successful. Very humble, nice superb Star in my high school. They still play his hit songs bad mama jama, everlasting love and others.
Thanks for that Sharon. I know very little about him being in the UK but I do love the song.
I love this song reminds me of my ex-wife an how much I still love her.

I'm a gonna dance with my princess By the light of a magical moon I'm a gonna dance with my princess By the light of a ma-magical moon As I go along my way, I say hey-hey As I go along my way, I say hey-hey I'm a gonna talk with the elders And tell all of our hearts that is good I'll barefoot dance with my baby By the light of a magical moon As I go along my way, I say hey-hey As I go along my way, I say hey-hey I'm a gonna dance (d-dance) with my baby (b-baby) By the light of a ma-magical moon Gonna do-do-d-dance with my baby By the light of a magical moon When I slay the darkest day then we can play Until that deep and joyous day we'll dance and pray Alright

Thanks for your comment Grover, this was the original from 1964, I wasn't aware of a glam rock version.
Bitte nicht so ein ernstes Gesicht beim Zuhören...
Thanks.
Robert Knight recorded the original version in 1967. But I prefer Carl Carlton's version.
I didn't know that, thanks.

Ole Ian......is he still alive? Never hear about him these days
Ian Anderson has never stopped touring or recording music and continues to play the music of Jethro Tull, but for the past 20 years it has been under his solo name. The Zealot Gene, Anderson's latest release, is the first album under the Jethro Tull brand in two decades and it may be one of his best.
@@theretrochannel1760 Wow. Good to know. I lost track of him several years ago. Will have to check out his newest stuff. Interesting
i didnt know it was 1975 i thought it was later
"A Spaceman Came Travelling" is a song by Chris de Burgh. It first appeared on his second studio album, Spanish Train and Other Stories, which was released in 1975. It has been released numerous times as a single, becoming a popular Christmas song, and has appeared on many festive compilation albums. It was later released in 1986.
great idea Mally
Cheers Stu.
Great song. The 1970s and 80s music is right in my wheelhouse, but growing up where I did, I never heard this one.... Thanks for providing me with a continuing education!!!
Thanks a lot Willie, much appreciated.
This was televised on Bing Crosby's Christmas Special shortly after he passed away while golfing in Spain, his final words supposedly were "That was a great round of golf fellas, let's go have a Coca-Cola." Thanks Mally
Cheers Willie, nice story, I did not know that.
not a good xmas song but 2 legends together
Yes, I agree with that Kev but it's a classic that most people have heard. Plus it's tricky finding Xmas songs from the 70's & 80's that have no copyright blocks attached.
never heard that song yeh good xmas song
Thanks a lot Kev
