One thing I've noticed after watching many of these videos is that the performer will hold cards or other props in a way that just doesn't seem natural. I don't think it gives anything away, it just looks a little clunky and suspicious sometimes, at least to me. It's probably when their cupping something behind their hands. Did an untimely camera close-up reveal another layer of cards on her card wheel at one point in her performance? Otherwise, her patter was terrific and the plot, as mentioned, was very good. Always leave them wanting more--and she did!

I never thought about how to ensure the trophy traveled, in ordered to remain intact. It's a pointless question, but out of pure curiosity, do they give a trophy already packed, once backstage, or did you have to do it yourself (and so plan to take protective paper just in case you won) ?

I think that last sheet had a slot in it that she took the 8 out of, but you have to watch 2-3 times to catch how she did it. And it was really impressive how earlier in the trick she fanned the deck out behind the paper to make it look exactly like the print out. She’s got some real talent

I'm not a magician but some things seemed obvious. Amanda sits behind this big table with a long black table cloth. This is to hide all the switching and 'dirty work' she needs to do to execute this trick. Also she never shows the faces of the cards at first when Alyson says stop, so my guess is they are all 8 of hearts except bottom card. Later on she switched to a half deck where on one side the cards are different and on the other side all in new deck order. Just a guess. I could be wrong. ☺

There are so many tricks in this that it's hard to follow. If it was an individual trick I'm sure Penn and Teller would figure it out. But there are multiple deck switches, pieces of paper involved that are switched for decks, etc. It's hard to follow when and how exactly each trick is done because they are each different and flow together so well. I can piece together parts of it, but I think I'd have to reach watch this a dozen times and spend a good hour before I really figured out everything. Which is amazing because each part I can figure out, but it's almost always different than I initially thought and different than the other parts I figured out before. Some of the foolers on here I really can't figure out what they did no matter how much I look, this one I can, and yet I can also completely understand how impossible it is to figure out in the moment without having to replay it multiple times.

I find P&T get fooled when they can't predict the plot of the trick, and I think you got them with repeated endings. they got the first one and let their spidey senses relax thinking that was it and you were "just a kid with a cheap trick", and then you did another, then another. BAM!

Amanda, what an incredible routine. Over the last 50 odd years I’ve learnt a few techniques and stuff. To fool probably the most knowledgeable magicians around is huge. Bit late with the compliment but you are a real upcoming star in the magic world. All the best for the future in whatever direction you go. A truly awesome performance, (any chance of a hint on that last move?)

I believe she had two decks in her hand for last trick, when she revealed that the deck was in order that was a different deck that’s taped together on the back side. That’s why she didn’t reveal the whole card only a tiny bit. When she lifts the “paper” she held it with the cards going down because if she held it the other way the cards would’ve fell
