    A load of garbage. He, like so many 'old timers' took off his shoulder belts on the last lap (this was said by a FOX 'ex-racer' and hisd upper body whipped forwards and a basilar skull fracture ensued. It was THAT simple.

    What was disgusting about the so called NASCAR fans is that they accused sterling marlin for his death and that poor driver never been the same show show disgusting those sport fans were and my opinion tainted the sport for long time and kinda never been the same .

    If Mr Earnhardt had survived the crash, for years later he’d be in recovery and this would definitely been his last race as a driver. He wouldn’t want to have lived like that …

    For those of you who were watching at the time, did the broadcast just end, then, with viewers not knowing anything more about Dale's condition? And when and how was the news finally revealed?

  • @AlexandJessica2012
    @AlexandJessica201223 күн бұрын

    Yes. The broadcast ended without any further information about Dale's condition. As far as the news being revealed, it probably depends on where you were. For me, it was maybe an hour or 2 after the broadcast had ended. I saw a news ticker run across the bottom of the screen, stating that he had died. A few minutes later, they broke in with a live feed, and we heard the now famous words from Mike Helton, saying that "we have lost Dale Earnhardt." It was sad and very shocking news.

    There are a whole lot of views of this crash that doesn't show what this clip of the accident shows 100 percent MARLIN rubbed the bumper of EARNHARDT'S car sending Dale Sr into left spin and Sr overcorrected whipping him to the right straight into the wall. NFG 👎🏼🤬😤 God & Dale SR Teamed STRAIGHT UP & Took Out Marlin! PERMANENTLY! 💥 BADA BING BADA BOOM 💥 I approve this message 🙌🏼 Nj'sJfJr 👍🏼💪🏼❤️🇺🇸

    All commente here are accurate, but noone mentions the ambulance. When an ambulance is going slow, you know its not good news.

  • @dawnieb.7394
    @dawnieb.739429 күн бұрын

    Several people have mentioned the ambulance, actually. Although for me, I would have thought an ambulance racing with lights flashing and horns blaring would have made me more likely to think it was not good news.

    I can remember watching all of this and thinking absolutely nothing of the wreck nor his transport to the medical center .. I actually thought in that very moment that the crash served him right because I felt he’d been an overly aggressive jerk out there for a good portion of the race .. never thought for a second that he was so much as seriously injured, let alone deceased for goodness sakes .. When Ahmad Rashad gave a brief update during halftime of the NBA All-Star Game, a box graphic over Ahmad’s right shoulder showed a thumbnail of Dale witb year dates printed underneath his image!!! I thought, dumbfoundedly, “He DIED?!?!?!? from that otherwise benign-looking accident??????????? My jaw didn’t hit the floor, it went THROUGH it 😢

    I never thought could keep crying.. finding new ways to cry about this…. But Michael saying “when I see Dale Jr, I’m gunna give him a big kiss” and seeing Darrel’s face.. knowing he wasn’t going to be there… knowing he himself wasn’t going to be there. Being so distracted, looking over at Dale while talking to him… this is so heartbreaking to this day.

    Sitting in the grandstands at the race that day...I felt this hush pass over the entire crowd as they worked on getting Dale out of the car. We just... knew. And by the time we got home, our fears were confirmed. It's the first time I ever cried because of something that happened in this sport... even though I was a Jeff Gordon fan all those years, and I had to deal with the Earnhardt fans insulting me and dragging me at every opportunity... I had an immense respect for the man, and that day changed me.

    Something that kind of creeped me out I just noticed. Dales car must’ve been moved to that little patch of grass directly behind victory lane all on its own. With the body on the drivers side totally removed. I wonder how haunting that must’ve been for anyone who just so happened to peek back there.

    Amazing footage! That looks like a large frog the hungry Snake caught and swallowed (do you know what kind? Really eaten still alive?!) here! Was there to way to reach out a pull the frog, saving it’s life? The thing seemed to be resisting and frantic stuck down the snake’s throat! 😧🐸😅 I wonder, can the amphibian stand a chance of escaping (kicking those strong legs and its general sliminess etc.) and turn around from the elastic neck/stomach if eaten in that condition?? It’s so big, maybe it can still survive.
