How to programming make
Our manager wasn’t happy with cycle times when implementing lfv, he’d rather break tools for a 3 min cycle time than 7 mins for a repeatable passable part and longevity in the tooling. As an operator I preferred the use of lfv as it meant there was less operator intervention in the process.
thank you for your effort
Does it bug anybody else that they’re is no sound? I have to be ignorant and ask how Regis these b axis arms really are? The y on the subside is awsome but what if they made this same part out of anything with much higher nickel content? What’s the tool life going to be on the b axis tools i guess is what I’m asking? If anyone has experience? I never get to run brass.
Hello Jordan, the no sound bugs me! Most of our videos have sound, but this one in particular we had trouble uploading. I cannot speak to all applications, but we have hundreds of users in the US and globally who are successfully using the B-axis arm and Y2 axis on much tougher materials like nickel, Inconel, etc... It is important to mention that - as with any application - sometimes we have to get creative (expensive) in the tooling selection and selective with cutting speeds as those materials are tricky. One could always blast through a tough material at a high feed-rate and kill the tools in 1-2 cycles, but we have many users who have dialed in processes that allow them to cut hardened materials on b-axis for 12+ hours uninterrupted. It is also crucial to count cycles with specific tools so that we know exactly when they will start to dull/chip. Hope that helps!
@@tylerzeman6177 yes it does! Just curious because every video I have seen, on the subject anyways, it’s always some sort of art part made out of brass showing the capabilities of the axis, and live heads etc. again the video was awsome but I wanted to hear the live heads on the b axis. Thankyou for your thought out response, as my thoughts of how rigid it may on b axis arms has become much brighter. I run two different stars both early 2000s and I love them. Food for thought and future reference I guess. Have a great day!
What is code G165???
Can anyone explain g79 code for drilling on a citizen lathe? What is i,k,a,q,j
If you have win cnc it should have a g and m code list. Go into there it will have all the variable explanations.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Merry Christmas eve! For many years, I have programmed and ran horizontal boring/milling machines, and VMC's, and created many macro programs using fanuc macro B. With that stated, I moved on to a new company that has quite a few citizen Swiss machines, with the G codes you have outlined in this AWESOME video. I'm currently learning how to run these machines, and along the way, I'd like to learn how to program them as well. At a minimum, it's good to know exactly what the program is doing, so it can be modified, if needed. At this point, I don't know what percentage (if any) of the programs I'm learning how to run, have been programmed with some type of cam software, or programmed in notepad manually. My guess is, any type of advanced contouring going on, it had to have been cam programmed. Thank you for making this video, hopefully there are many more videos (and maybe a few books) like yours out there!
really great, but i need citizen M16 3M3 model 2009 machine manual and thank you
am,azing
Is the second part programmed completely with Esprit?
Hello sir can you help me to learn how to program this machine and work on it
One day I will buy this machine… This is my dream. My company is growing…
Anh cho em xin lập trình chạy sản phẩm này được không?
Can i use lfv mode with grooving ??
😻 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚖
This is an M5-32.
Good catch, thank you Peter. Updated!
Great! Can you give me the full version M, G code of Miyano BNA42
Hey Thuy, we do not have any content for G & M code on the Miyano to share yet. We are working on it and will hope to have it posted soon!
So really, you're a genius 👏 🙌 ohoooo amazing
I am no genius, but the guys presenting in these videos absolutely!

Respect for you dear, i am stuck with M20, is there any manual for it . if you have , could you please share
Waqas, please reach out through the form on our website and mention me by name, we will try to get you a manual: www.mcclaintool.com
amazing
G73 but for turning Nice ^^
can u make a vdo explain about G950. I kind of confuse when they set X0Y0 but Z is not zero
Hey True, we will work on developing this content!
We are getting this machine next month at our shop. Can’t wait to see how the LFV works
LFV has been a game-changer! How has it worked out for you? Takes a bit of learning curve, but we find most users end up with much longer uninterrupted run-time and higher throughput when used correctly.
@@tylerzeman6177 LFV only works for applications on the main spindle. If you work productively on two spindles, the chips will still overwhelm your machine. I'm talking about stainless steel.
Outstanding! I sent this to a guy I’m training in our shop. We have 3 M4’s and 3 M3’s and one L with another on the way You mentioned the Espirit software. Is that correct? Could you clarify the software you use or in the future do a video with using the software and the machine program be generated
I've been using Esprit on Citizen L12's, L20's, L32's and Miyano lathes for just over 2 years now. I had used PartMaker in the past extensively on both Swiss machines as well as lathes. Esprit is so much more powerful in just about everyway. It kind of has a steep learning curve. In the end it it totally worth it. The post processors for the machines I program are flawless. Any time we have any type of issue their customer support is top notch.
Thanks for the feedback Brandon! We have a few guys on our team very experienced with ESPRIT, but the guy presenting in this video does all his programming at the lathe itself. When working with very complex geometries a CAM software like ESPRIT is very beneficial, but to Brandon's point it has quite a learning curve and requires weekly - if not daily - use of the software.
Great job Gerry!
Very good guide 👍
Thank you Pav
you explained in 14 minutes what took me almost 2 years to learn form the programing books citizen provides. I hope I had seen this sooner good job!
Ricardo, that is awesome to hear! Our main goal was to condense some very high-level programming concepts into something that was a little easier to digest, be sure to keep an eye out for more topics!
do you have some example of programming with LFV instruction
Hey Chaben, we will work on creating this content!
hi, could you like to produce some parts for us? please let us know [email protected]
Sorry I like this video. But there is no sound. I'm working since year's to get some more advanced tools like cam etc. Can you send me a version with sound. Thanks
Hey Dieter, we will work on reposting this video with sound. In the meantime, you can request the file w/sound through our website contact form: www.mcclaintool.com
