  I'm not a railfan, but my dad's a retired locomotive engineer for CN. It's still weird to see the company name as CPKC. It's sad but also maddening how these giant corporations keep merging and growing into fewer, more powerful entities taking over the world.

  I was there on Sunday! the new line is great, it's going to be transformative for the whole region when it's finally connected to the 1 Line. Huge step forward for transit in the region

  @@stevenwagner983 been wondering this myself. I could see them keeping the route as a redundant backup but since the line is basically identical but I could see them reducing frequency during peak hours. the train will absolutely blow its capacity out of the water and it'll be faster

  At 2:03 it would’ve been really cool if u were close up the train and recorded everything. But these are some sick shots of the old riverside local and I’m just happy to see someone else with videos of this train since there is not much. I have family that live in the area and I would always take a walk to that crossing at 2:03. Anyways great video and once again I’m just happy to find someone else with videos of the riverside local. Just sucks that it doesn’t run there anymore.
