My 17 ford transit isnt engaging either after alternator change so was nice to see how you diagnosed this, don’t i can fix it myself or diag it lol

@@autotechtogo6290 i know i broke the connector latch but i secured it with zip ties so that’s solid, hard to check anything behind it with how compact ford made these things XD gotta take out the engine to do literally anything with it.

You bring some of my pain points up. We can test and find something wrong, find ways to prove fault, then make recommendations. I am dealing with a situation right now that my tech was onsite for quite a while, shop owner not happy with the bill. Yes document everything!

Thanks, I just got burned by this. The customer replaced the MAF with this same Duralast example because of a Trouble code. The car ran fine until they went to get gas, then it started setting CKP faults, then became a start stall. The worst part about this is i saw the same p0335 explanation you read. Looked at the MAF PID, and sure enough it was reading 1.49v. The good part is the customer was smart enough not to throw away the original.

Great job! Same thing happened in my 11th gen TYPE R, lost connection with EPS after crash, have checked the 70A fuse, it is OK. Where is the location of this 10A fuse?

@bmwsfc make sure your powers and grounds make it to the rack. I like to check this with the connector plugged In While in backprobbed. Also make sure the female terminals on the connector are not spread. Last you should check the continuity for the communication circuit from the rack going back to vehicle. Honda service information is affordable.

Used racks may have the wrong calibration number. In this case, the rack will have to be new/blank.

Hey i just bought a 2011 Ford Explorer and the previous owner replaced the ABS Module...(I assume its brand new) And they've got rid of the old one....is it possible i can get this one (the new ABS Module) programmed???

Yes, used abs modules work sometimes. You may have to try a few. The only module that is considered new is from the dealership. I doubt it's new..

UPDATE- The repair shop tested 27 psi oil pressure at the oil pressure switch. The minimum oil pressure spec is 17 psi@1000 rpm's. They then proceeded to replace the exhaust camshaft actuator(cam gear) with a factory part that made no change with symptoms. The upper camshaft bearing was eventually removed and found to be reverse causing no oil flow. No problems after it was reinstalled correctly.

You say every time the exhaust valve opens there is a "drop in pressure". Why so on a good cylinder that would have positive combustion pressure and then release that pressure into the exhaust stream when Ex valve opens??Would not a firing cylinder show an spike in pressure? Or are you referring to an in cylinder compression test with transducer where there is no combusion so the the cylinder would be in vacuum when Ex valve opens, hence the pressure drop ... can someone clarify what Ex pressure pulse pattern is expected for a good firing cylinder?

The exhaust pressure waveform in this video is referring to an ignition or fuel misfire. If an exhaust valve opens without prior combustion, then there will be a high amount of negative pressure from the expansion stroke. This low pressure is the drop we can see from the ignition or fuel misfire. Combustion on the other can release a positive pressure(10-20psi) when the exhaust valve opens. After a cylinder has exhausted its positive pressure, a slight drop in pressure towards atmosphere will occur. My Pico wpx500 shown in this video shows a positive overall exhaust system pressure on a healthy running engine. This can only be seen with an absolute pressure sensor Watch the video "Brandon Steckler Applying Advanced Drivability Diagnosis". Brian shows cylinder pressure with a one spark plug removed on a 5.7L hemi. Its near the end of the video.

This was done with WiTech2 software and factory interface, there is no need for the bypass cable. The bypass cable is used for aftermarket scan tools that have limited function.

Ive got a 2000 jeep xj the can low and can high are reading 2.34 and the high is 2.37. Is that a problem? Ive verified that there wires are good, and the 120 ohm resistors are good
