keep up the good videos
Thanks appreciate it!!!
Calgary! Kelowna is full up and rapidly going down the sewer!
Calgary is a great place and great options, but disagree fully on Kelowna going down the sewer. Lots of new builds coming in to the city and the Okanagan is an incredible place to live!
Immigration has put many Canadians on the street.
This must be woke hell.
How’d ya figure lol?

Dear Mr. Brett, I love to watch your videos because they are very informative. I would like to know whether a foreigner can buy a property in canada. Please give your comment. Thank you. Ms.Latifah
Hi Ms Latifah, current there is a foreign buyers ban until 2027, but there are exemptions for international students, temporary workers and refugee claimants. It’s always highly recommend to speak to an immigration lawyer with real estate knowledge when making this decision. Hope that helps!
Hi
BC = Bring Cash. 🤷♂️
You must watch my videos lol I probably say this every second one!
Happy Father's Day
Thank you!!!!!
YES!!! West Kelowna is much cheaper to live then Kelowna I love West Kelowna
It’s a great option!!!
You change of leadership. Mr.Pierre will doing great Leadership for all Canadian Canadian need to vote for Mr.Pierre
Bus system over an hour
Yeah I’ve heard it needs improvement for sure!
I live in Kelowna and love it, but the bus service is terrible. I do not drive.
Nice to see someone finally say they love it lol and yeah I’ve heard there’s a lot of room for improvement
I am in Penticton and was outreach worker on the coast. Homelessness is the same issue. We generally see the folks wanting to take advantage of free things and not serious about getting real help. Their camps are generally an eyesore but remember this, The cities did not create this, our govt. did. I recently got back from Vancouver which is at least 10 times worse.
Agreed John!
. Left kelowna in 22 couldn't do it any more. Too cold in winter too hot in summer. Lake was cold for swimming.. kelowna Is over rated.
Interesting where did you end up going if Kelowna was too cold in the winter???
I would never even consider living there. Waaaaay too many woke douchebags
Traffic is hellacious. And no relief is possible
One of the cloudiest cities in Canada in the winter. That is not the case in much of western Canada
last time I was in Kelowna it was one of the safest cleanest cities in the world... man i miss them days and blue sky's.
It has it's areas for sure like most cities, but I find it VERY safe still!
Petty crime is more than annoying and usually goes with hard drug use, no thanks
Fair enough!
Cranbrook bc used to be sunny in the winter along with the cold. However, since the chemtrails /global dimming it is usually grey also.
Chemtrails my ass.
@@ArmyJames one day you will wake from your slumber. Maybe you are too young to remember REAL blue skies. One day you will find out that ignorance is not bliss.
@@trevorgadd8491 Oh yeah, you’ve got all the answers, with your tinfoil hat. lol
@@ArmyJames geo engineering watch . o . r. g.
I think the only dimming is the light between your ears, Trevor.
Coming from the island. all of these complaints just seem like daily life. lol... at least you have lots of space around you to go adventuring.
Totally and trust me I don't want it to feel like I'm "complaining" about it, but I'm trying to pick apart a place that I love living in which is hard enough. Just want anyone coming this way to have their eyes wide open. I think Kelowna is amazing and I choose to live here for a reason!
Vancouver and Edmonton are shipping their homeless here. They were caught red handed putting them on buses.
I'm from Van and live in Edmonton and no they aren't shipping people from Edmonton. If you haven't been keeping up on current events the whole world is suffering from a houselessness crisis including Canada. There is no place that is immune to people on the street and this is a crime for the richest nation on the planet.
@@deeejayeee They asked one of the homeless people where he was from and he stated that he had come from Edmonton, he was provided the bus ticket and a bit of money for his trip. Are you familiar with the Journey Home program? There is quite a bit of information and resources through them.
@@markhoffman I used to work for social services and the only thing they would help with would be a return trip back to your community. This is a completely different statement than, 'shipping their homeless here'. In other words, they aren't gonna send you somewhere you aren't from because you would have no family or support system there to help and it would be just moving the problem to another location. Our big cities have far more resources, jobs and safety nets to help the poor than a small place like Kelowna which is why the poor end up in large cities. As I said before, the housing crisis started with our current leadership in Canada and today there are encampment everywhere...not just big cities.
@@deeejayeee I think everyone can agree on the issues with our current leadership...
You're full of s***.
U DIDNT EVEN MENTION THE PART WHERE ITS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY INDIA
Kelowna = Bumtown. Sorry but it’s true.
And people pay a premium to live there. It was a much nicer place over a decade ago.
Definitely disagree haha, but if thats your opinion 👍
@@LIVINGINKELOWNABRITISHCOLUMBIA You can disagree all you want. Fact is that Kelowna is a very expensive town. I'm not speaking from ignorance, I visit often and have quite a bit of family there. So it's not just my opinion but probably 20 people that have lived there since the 1980's. Also it was much nicer more than 10 years ago. Less developed, less busy and more connected to the surrounding beauty. I think you must be delusional or high. YMMV
@@quintonmacdougall7150 not sure what’s delusional about living where I live and thinking Kelowna is a beautiful and great place to live. Pretty sure I’m in the VAST majority, but it is BC…maybe we’re all just high 😂
I spend more time in Penticton Naramata hill side. Or Vernon going to the mountains. Not alot of reason for me to goto Kelowna.
Or you can get real big land like a ranch in 16 mile or 100 mile for the cost of a house in developed Ktown.
absolutely, I was even driving out towards Kamloops and some of the rural areas out there are beautiful and have insanely affordable properties if it's what you like
@@LIVINGINKELOWNABRITISHCOLUMBIA Hat creek ranch is up for auction soon I hear. I am planning on growing in a geothermal greenhouse almost finished proof of concept in city for zone 4b up there. Lots of sun.
@@441rider That's pretty sick actually, tons of beautiful land up there. Best of luck!!
28:16 it was a crazy heat dome and It was 57 to 60⁰C 120⁰F in Kelowna hopefully It doesn't happen again
Yes, hopefully we don't see that again!
That's some crazy exaggeration. The record heat in Canada was 49.5C in Lytton on June 29 during the heat dome, and Kelowna topped out at 45.6C. Although yes...that's wayyyy too hot. Did you take the temperatures in the direct sun about 2 feet above black asphalt?
Wrong. BCs highest temp was Lytton 49.6 C and we are the only province to have our record high on this side of WW2
You wont, because it never happened. Kelownas record high temp was 44.6 C
24:00 there is some construction on Boucherie Rd in West Kelowna and there's some delays until June 22
Yeah that's where I believe the majority of it is
21:41 there's some construction in West Kelowna!!!
For sure, I just find Kelowna is just much more unforgiving when there is work being done
20:58 I'm glad to see West Kelowna starting to get more stores too!!!
Yeah I feel like they have tons of great amenities now!
Looks like a giant strip mall now.
19:04 I reather have the rain and cooler weather and hopefully no bad wildfires in the Okanagan Valley
Agreed! 25 is plenty hot for me lol
It's very sad to see the homelessness in Kelowna and West Kelowna
Absolutely, it's such a complex issue and I wish I had better solutions!
I think many of us find a route or commute we are comfortable with. Videos like yours encourage one to explore a bit, rather than just passing through on 97. Less than an hour from home and really quite a beautiful area.
Agreed and the valley as a whole is spectacular, I'm a big fan of your area too, both Penticton and Naramata. I'll for sure be doing a video down there in the near future you'll have to let me know if there are any areas I NEED to go to!
@@LIVINGINKELOWNABRITISHCOLUMBIA Are you familiar with a road called Pineview? Turn up from South Main St. We have a new roundabout and a short drive up Pineview gives a great view. I still like Munson Mountain where the Penticton is in white stone lettering. Some of our more mature folks call it pregnancy Mountain, due to high school grads getting in a family way. I am a photographer so in a perfect locale. City Hall did a lot to brighten up downtown so the Okanagan, north end of town is much more family friendly, even at night. Also for at least 6 years the power line over the dam usually has at least one osprey hunting. The reason I like Kelowna is you have quite a few late night businesses compared to here, as we only have about 36k for residential population. We have some good restaurants now and the city has opened food truck service to year round.
Nice job on outlining the mapped area. I am in Penticton but travel to Kelowna and area often. As I am retired I have the luxury of picking when I travel.
Appreciate the feedback definitely gonna start doing more of these style videos in the different areas!

I really hate the oppressively bad car-culture traffic there. Makes me want to escape. Stayed with relatives, and was asked to take out the townhouse garbage. Everything mixed into one plastic bag! The dumpster was half filled with the same plastic bags. Where is this going? To a land fill maybe? It is a beautiful area, but… . A paradigm shift in attitudes is really needed in Kelowna. One business owner I talked to said the people there aren’t friendly generally speaking. Happens often in densely populated cities. Just saying.
Very interesting, sorry that was your experience!
you forgot to mention the gangs, the homeless, the stupid bridge that still backs up every day.The yearly Arson is great too, and then they blame it on climate change. The Smokanagan has gone downhill the last 25 years.
I have a pros and cons video on my channel where I mention the homeless and forrest fires, but I totally disagree that "gang violence" is a large issue in Kelowna. Not to say there aren't gangs and affiliates here, but I wouldn't say this is something that the area is known for like Surrey.
Hey Brett thanks for the informative video! - around the 27min mark, are you saying that currently real estate in Kelowna is going for a lot less than the asking price?
Hey Jordon I think you were referring to when I was looking at the stats and there was like a couple hundred thousand dollar difference between the "list price" and "sold price"? I see how that could be a bit misleading, that number takes everything that is currently listed and it's average and compares it to everything that has recently sold. If you look at just the sold section you'll see that the number is a lot closer. What you REALLY need to focus on is a stat you can't see there because my head is blocking it, but it's the List/Sell ratio. That's the actual percentage the property sells for of the list price. Right now it's 97.35% here in the Central Okanagan, so since it is still a buyer's market, negotiations are happening, but no crazy 100k differences. Hope that answered your question!
@@LIVINGINKELOWNABRITISHCOLUMBIA ahh that makes more sense, thanks!
You showed zero images of the region.. The soul reason to watch the video was to the see parts of the city. You showed Hawaii and California.... being your real estate agent I think he would have taken advantage of the opportunity to demonstrate some great places to live within the city
Check out my latest video! Just released this am and it covers the entire city ALL with real footage, switched up my style and got a drone! Let me know what you think!
What neighbourhood would you choose to live in???
Cheap
Nice 👍 whereabouts is that??
How expensive is it where you live???
Kelowna is beautiful but honestly time to attract business to feed the machine
Interesting point. What do you think would be successful here?
