Grass carp is one of the best tasting carp out there
😅😅😅
@@FishingWithPorter fr, those are expensive here. Natural grown carps from river or canals are a delicacy, the best we get are farm grown so getting natural carps are really rare. Anything above 2kg would cost 20-30$. Which is a lot compared to our purchasing power.
My local international market sells grass carp, but the ones we have in the canals here are protected and you’ll be heavily fined if you kill or keep it. I’ve heard horrible and amazing things from both sides 😂😂😂
Can’t wait for this one. Porter finna catch a PB and hit 10k subs at the same time
Ayyyy 10k incoming!! Stay tuned 👀
Bros trying to get 100% completion
Yessir lol. Thanks for watching 🤙
shouldnt you kill the asian carp species
Hey bro its my birthday !!!
Happy birthday brother
Grass carp are invasive but so freaking fun to catch
They are extremely fun, also they stock the grass carp in the canals for cleaning so they are not considered invasive here. In fact you can get heavily fined if you don’t release the fish unharmed immediately, keeping or killing grass carp is a serious offense in the canal system. Thanks for watching!
@@FishingWithPorter That is way different from Iowa
@@RyderErdmann yeah for sure, the canals are an interesting place haha
@@FishingWithPorter lol
What bait did you use for the carp? Was it the bread? Just wondering as I am planning on going fishing for carp soon! Greta vid!
Thank you for watching! Yet I used bread but corn works fabulous as well.
@@FishingWithPorter thank you so much

Facts
Im trying to get into carp fishing cant seem to win them over with corn or boiles on a hair rig what rig would you recomend i use with worms heard they were one of the most popular baits they bite on thanks in advance
I’ve never used hair rigs before so can’t give any recommendations on the matter. I just use corn and bread weightless, 4-8 pound line and a small hook. Super simple and I catch tons of fish. Thanks for watching!
Do ever fish Roosevelt lake cause they have some monster fish
I have not fished there yet 🤙
My guy using a half inch impact as a line remover HAHA I love the creativity on the videos!
😂😂😂 I was dreading the idea of changing line 5 different times so I had to try something lol. Appreciate you Trevor 🤙🔥
Have you thought of saltwater fishing?
Yep I do quite a bit of saltwater fishing, just not for videos because I’m always doing my own species hunt and I like to focus on it. Thanks for watching!
7:16 I was this far into the video when you reacted to my meme . This must be what my wife feels like when I send her the I love you text . Feeling special 😂
😂😂😂😂 relatable
The drill is definitely a blue collar trick big homie lol 😂
Yes sir! The mechanic and me coming out. Not gonna lie the impact came in clutch though
Incredible all the fisheries AZ has.. not many realize.
For real! Man-made or not it’s nice to have some kind of water to throw some poles in. Thank you for watching!
bro ur videos are striaght up fire
Thank you that means a lot 🙏❤️
You should do a cast nesting video because I was just at the beach cast netting and a good video is after you catch one with a small one you could keep getting bigger after you catch one
Still impressed with your fish handling skills and not allowing them to damage themselves by rolling all over the ground. As far as the 2 lb test it makes you a better fisherman I know you may think it's annoying and you're a little used to being able to horse some of the fish in but it teaches you to be a better fisherman. It teaches you how to use your drag and how to be patient with the catch. Ever since my boys were real little I taught them on two and four lb test to teach them that it's not just about horsing the fish in but enjoying the fight. We catch 8 to 10 lb fish all the time on 2 and 4 lb test sure it takes a little longer but that's the fun of it It's much more cerebral I enjoy watching your videos
Thank you. Btw I fish 4lb line in every video and have caught over a dozen 10+ pound fish on 4 pound line, so I’m plenty experienced with finessing fish and being patient on the fight. The 2 pound line was annoying only because I purposely kept the drag on the looser side to be safe from leaving a fish with a hook in its mouth. Realistically the fight would’ve taken half the time if I locked it down to what it could handle. I stand by 4lb line because it makes the fight more challenging.
Why don’t you use bells for your poles?
Because they’re annoying and I 99% of the time get the my pole before the line gets tight so they’re basically useless anyway. Thanks for watching 🤙
Fair enough, I’m always helping my kiddos so the bells are a life saver for me haha
@@jaydontaylor3967 yeah that makes sense haha. If I’m ever stepping away from my rod or not paying attention I’ll throw the clickers on my reels on and that way I can hear if somethings happenjng
😂😂

Thanks man ❤️
"you sir, are a fish" - Arthur Morgan, RDR2
😂😂😂
Awesome vid man!!! I would love to know where this pond is so I can catch my first carp 😎
Thanks man! There’s carp in every pond and every canal all over the valley, just got a jump around until you find one that has a hot bite. Use bread and corn weightless if you can lighter line is better, I have faith in you!
