Just got one and noticed that. is it normal for that gear to slide in and out. floating from lined up to hitting half the gear
no that's bad. if your talking about the pinion gear. no you need to remove the gear and grub screw. clean the grub screw and the pinion gear threads with alcohol. to where there is no more dirt (oil) from the factory. has to be clean. then apply blue or orange lock tight. red is really hard to get off. (permanent) and let dry for 24 hours.
@@readeracingRC It's the spur gear that moves on the shaft. looks like the pin that holds it in place is where it's loose at.
my bad. i thought it was the pinion gear.. so your saying the spur gear. ya that should not be moving around. i would pull it apart and check maybe you missing one pieces. im looking at the exploded view. it has to missing a pin or a keeper. i would tear it apart and see what is missing. please keep me informed. this bothering me lol have fun.
@@readeracingRC cool. I found it missing a washer behind the cush drive.
Great video brotha love the slow mo.
thanks for watchin. sometimes i think i do to many slomo's. its a fun bashing area. soon there is more. thanks again and have a terrific day... have fun.
Woohoo! Bash it, Break it, Fix it!
hells ya brou. there all fixed again, and after my surgery ill be out in full force. bash on my friend.
Nice Kraton. Flying high. 🔥👍always on the way inn. ☝️🏆👍
THANKS BROU. love this park. I'm the only rc user there. i hope they don't get boring, but i really like the park. just need to make the sends even bigger. thanks for the chat. have Fun.
How can I fix a ball joint that has popped out on my Arrma 6S RC car? Looking for detailed steps and preventive measures to stop it from happening again. Thanks
my apologies for the lousy explanation in the video. i mean to do it over. But the whole idea is the shafts were made first on the rtr's. the exb came out and put the red ring on the end of the arm to make it stronger. i see not needed. but there about 1.5 mm thickness. so adding the ring's made the shafts to short. by removing them it puts it back to stock. but it's still to short in the first place. i have ground off the plastics on the end of the arm to make it shorter. and the ball will not pop out when landing off big jumps or the swing arm bottoms out and it just walks it self out. a found the more worn out your bearing, cups, diffs. get it makes the isus come back. so keeping it fresh will keep it from doing it. also putting in the rubber insert you put in the cup helps to.
oh wait i read yours again. you mean the balls at the end of the arm. the steering blocks? oh oh. you mean the plastic is worn out. its messed up the first time it pops out. nothing really you can do, but get some aluminum ones. hot racing vivitvon etc. the plastics stretch out and it's a bad design for plastic parts. should be aluminum from the factory.
Nice launches
Thanks brother RC Enthusiast. Its a awesome place troo bash. Have Fun
Wow your pretty awesome. . You sure bout that?
Woooo.#3👍let’s goooo. Nice video. Therapy time. Stay positive stay blessed. Thank you for sharing the vid🔥💨👍
thank you for the comment. and be grateful for what we got. and that i can share this with everyone. and most of all.... Have Fun.
Wooo therapy time 🔥👍always . Thank you for leaving s comment. I found your channel and subbed to support. I love the hobby 🔥👍🏆
as I. i raced M<X for 40 years and cant ride anymore. and this hobby is right up the alley. so much fun.. accept. you go out to bash and it breakers in the first 5 minute's.. lmao. but mot often. yes love the hobby. have fun.
and yes the XMaxx wins lol
Small jumps are ok but when you jump sky high you are going to break things 😮😮😅😅
yup.. absolutely. but if you can land it on all 4 wheels without the power on, there not quite as breakables' . i would not suggest it if a person could not land it right every time. i have an advantage to. im an ex-motocross racer, it give you quite the advantage. the secret? its all about the launch.
@@readeracingRC I just don't believe in jumping my cars and I've been doing rc cars for 20years and I still have my old cars they are still in good condition it's hard to get parts nowadays 😎👍
Sucker was flying! Nice bash man, what is the beeping sound from your radio? sounds like you are making adjustments?
Thanks brou for the comment. the beeping sound is the DX5C transmitter. I have the timer turned on. It's in the stopwatch mode. It's set for when the throttle is applied over .5% it starts the timer. I use the system for how long a battery pack last. much more precise then looking at a clock and not knowing how much time i have really used. I find good battery last about 13-15 minutes. bad last 4-5 minutes. like i said its true timing used. I think that makes sense. im a driver not a writer. LOL. Have Fun
@@readeracingRC oh, ok yea that makes sense. I didn’t know about that function and I thought surely there is no way you were fiddling with it while driving 😆 I’m starting to put more cars on my Rugged. Tired of dragging multiple radios plus I got 2 of them mixed up and spent forever trying to figure out what was up 🤦🏼♂️
actually. i been wanting to use the DX5C\Rugged. There is a function that you do fiddle with while driving. Setting the "E" button and use it for sensitivity. So flying up to the ramp, Push the button and the sensitivity will only turn the wheels small adjustment, so you can keeps the Wheels in a straight line. and after the jump let the button back to normal and you can bash with all the steering. now .... does that make sense ...LOL The whole idea is keep the wheels more straight and approaching the ramp and keep from doing the inevitable Ramp Shaver. i don't like to Shave either way. LOL Have Fun ps i know what you mean by grabbing the wrong remote... frustrating .
🔥🔥🔥
Great video Brother. I took off the red rng & the washers. The other thing I did make the dog bone sit deeper in the output drive, was I shaved off a couple millimeters off the a arms With a dremel. Shaved them flat a few mills and Bam problem solved. There's plenty of thread so you don't compromise that issue. Hope this helps! 👍🏽
Bro. That's crazy that you just commented on my video while I was watching your video right now. 😂
That's cool. and funny. even if were on the other side of the globe. bash on brou. have fun
thanks for sharing this, just ordered a notorious so will be doing this out the box
thanks. im finding out the more worn out parts make the issues come bake. Bearings, diff housing, drive shafts, outside hub,,etc.etc. when they all because problem it's time for a rebuild any way. have Fun
Great video!! That rig is durable as hell.. bro you had me dyeing laughing Tears were coming out. 👍👊
wow. i watched it again, and didnt realize how much colorful metaphors i used. lol.. and i was laughing my ass off too. have fun
Nice video!! Just subbed👍 looking forward to seeing more of you’re videos
I got ya Back on the sub. thanks
Yes siiir, works everytime
yes it does. thanks for the comment. means a lot to me.. have fun.
Nice 👍🏾💯
thanks brou. nothing better than getting the bug worked out on the practice track, ready for the BMX track. have a wonderful 4th. have Fun
That’s pimp! Pretty sweet spot your at as well 🤘🏼🚀🔥
Pimping. lol. Ya that WAS... a good spot to go. i learned my way around the rc's at this park. trucks and drones. But I ran across a couple cry babies about the truck on there precious dirt. and i moved back to my old stomping grounds. turns out the old BMX track is even better. i'm the only one that know about this new spot. so far no cry babies. lol Have fun
Beats the hell out of walking or wasting a pack towing the cart with a large scale
yes it does. but it cost me about as much as a 6S Kraton or Outcast EXB. and some crafty workmanship. I think i have an original. prob only one out there. thanks for the comment, always welcome... lol have Fun
Coil under springs? I couldn't really tell what they looked like in the video? Where do those come from?
i put the commment in the wrong place, now i see what i did. lol this what i meant. I got them from Amazon. The next set I'll buy will be stiffer strings. Now, mind you I put them on because I launch over 100'. And trying to have less body slap and catch the weight of the car from bottoming out. I thought it was going to be have shitty handling driving it. But as I write this I would almost say it helps the handling. I'm going to pay more attention if what I said was right. Thanks for the question and. Comments. The spring on Amazon was: uxcell Compression Spring - 1.2mm Wire Dia , 18mm OD , 50mm Free Length Spring Steel Extension Spring,Black,20Pcs I'm not sure if it is still the right move. But I haven't had a reason to remove them... Have fun.
@@readeracingRC gotcha. Thanks. I thought you were referring to an internal spring like are in the shocks on the Redcat Ascent.
dude that spot is sick !
WHY YES IT IS. I BEEN WONDERING WHEN SOMEONE WAS GOING TO SAY THAT. I JUST FOUND OUT IM THE ONLY RC DRIVER THAT GOES THERE. AND THEY JUST LEVELED OUT AND MADE MORE JUMPS. MADE THEM WIDER. ..I'LL TELL YA I HIT A GOLD MIND TO FIND THIS PLACE TO BASH HERE. HAVE FUN. ps. dammit i didnt realize the cap button was on. lol. not yelling lmao.. have fun
Some cars don't have droop screws so what do you do??😮
i notice the last set of RPM arms i bought they changed there mold and put a section to put droop screws on. yaaa.. i haven't had the issues yet but i was going to buy or make limiting straps. i been wanting to start putting them on my rigs . i think its a better way of limiting the swing arm from going to far and break more parts. thanks for the comment alway want to be helpful in this hobby. good luck but most importantly... have fun.
@@readeracingRC I just use the shock spring tension to allow droop usually
The problem is that all of that has to be on the paint and the paint can and will detach from the plastic. I’ve seen it several times.
thanks for the comment. i have done 5-6 just on the e6000 and concrete tape. and half a dozen trying different scenarios and seen very little delamination. I thought the same thing. but the system i have done its works perty tight. a little on the contact points but that is whittled and cut away if it does. i think most of mine are over a year old and still look great. thank. and have a terrific day.
Ya
Nice vid! I love to see what other people are doing and thinking outside the box. The double chassis is a cool idea how long has it been set up like that?
thanks for watchin. i did the chassis about a year ago. and that rig has taken a beating. i break arms more than anything. it like it has to have a weakness. and there is. but the chassis is like unbendable. kinda thinking like a leaf spring on a car. thanks have Fun
That advice u gave on screws which i assume u meant "HEX" screws imo isnt useless. I learneds from it, and I am grateful u covered that. I have many issues with bent and broken "driveshafts" but every truck has its "weakest link". I have gotten frustrated with the lack availability of replacement parts from companies outside USA. Hence I usually opt to collect Arrma or Traxxas. It all depends. Great video. TY n happy trails.
i appreciate your checking out the channel. it sucks not being able to get parts. i would assume you looked at my vid about the driveshafts' popping out. the drive shafts are to short. removing the red ring and washers help it from popping out. i went to the extremes and ground off about a 1.5 mm off the ends where the red ring was. i have a video explaining this.; I been turning wrenches all my life, even got to turn wrenches with a couple professional mechanic from back in my motocross days.... The videos... well... not so much. i been doing this hobby for 4-5 years, but making a video is like virgin territory for me. Im hoping they will get better as time goes by. I hope you get parts service gets better with time for you. Have Fun ps. yes hex screws. lol
We are just about to rebuild the front diff on our notorious to replace the diff cups hopping that would stop the driveshafts from popping out. I'm going to remove the washer and red cap while I'm in there! I'm glad this video popped up! We are also going to try the rubber piece in the cups on the 6s Typhon. Great tips!
i found that the more the bearing and parts wears, out it makes the problem come back . (only on 60 foot +) launches it popped out. i went to the extreme and ground off another 1.0-1.5mm of the end of the arm.. where the red ring was. glad it helped you out. Have Fun
Those driveshafts don't get anywhere near bottoming out in the cups. I'm not sure why they don't make longer driveshafts! Thanks again for the tips!
Just don't jump your car so much 😮😢😂😂
Kicking Ass Now Barny
I did the same thing with my heat sink. Running the same set up as you are,
oh really. it is the original heatsink wedge and pried and taped onto get it under the top rail bar? i thought i was original. lol you have the 1100kv hobbywing?
@@readeracingRC Indeed I do, I pried it open a bit so it covers the motor. I also shaved the sides down a bit so I could get it over the top rail bar, then used two zip ties to the motor. I also have the stock fan housing, I replaced the stock fans with Rocket Fans, they fit in perfectly.
+1 for the song!
Hells Ya. true musicians... the music blow my video's out of the mud. the best one is Red Barchetta. and only fits jumping the cars. if your a true Rush Fan you would know that the barchetta is a flying car he takes out for illegal sunday ride into the countryside with the internal combustion engine which are outlawed a hundred years from now. only Neil could write something like this. Have Fun
@@readeracingRC there are so many best ones! But yes that one is really good!
That's got to be 100' feet +++
i paced it out with long strides. 75'- real close to 100'. my biggest flight is 115'. thanks for the comment. have fun
I watch a lot of Rc videos, your sends are some of the best i have ever seen whoa. How are those Backflips on the EXB, are they a tad to heavy? I have some and I'm considering installing them on my EXB 6S.
Thank you for the kind words about the jumps. been practicing quite a bit. It all started with the mini Maxx. Racing motocross has gave me an advantage of throttle control, especially launching them on and off the ramp. I like the backflip, I also like the stock ones too. But the way i see it, you have to buy them in pairs. I line most of my trucks with BackFlips, just because the the finance reason. There is always a spares. and not having an odd amount of different W/T laying around. good luck but most importantly... Have Fun
Nice rip! You clickbaited me! Haha just kidding your title is off. Cool spot!
My bad... I missed it by a mile. jesus, I had the Outcast on my mind and i put write up with it, instead of the Xmaxx. thanks. as i think about it, i didnt go to bed last night. I marathoned it so i could bash this morning before is started raining again. (which it is ) have fun
@@readeracingRC haha it’s ok I totally understand I have the Outcast on my mind all the time as well haha such a fun rig 😜
@@StraitJacketRC It always brings your heart rate up launching the big black rig then the green pickle. alway more excitement to a bash session. Have Fun
vitavon makes solid 7075 ones
Hells Ya. any metal cover works. it need the support due to the week way it's designed.
Nice Bro!
good job Bryan
Best job so far with the e6000 and concrete fibratape. Good job sir! Keep us posted in 6 months pls
Thanks! Will do! I think my 8S Outcast about a year ago, still no cracks. not quite a basher bodie but close.
Thanks for the video! I’m a nub and just did the gorilla tape on my K4S. I think your method looks great and a lot easier. I’m trying this on my next shell.
yes. i think is close to a basher body... (well maybe not quiet) but very durable. the brush is what makes it so much easier. think i took 1.5 tubes of E6000. but well worth it. the first layer can be roughly done, it's the 2nd layer that does it. good luck, and don't get frustrated. it took me a while to get it right, but now i can do any... xmaxx was tricker..lol
Can you link to this part? Having trouble finding it
wow. i don't see it on amazon anymore. but ebay item number 11563344458. called gpm steel transition input shaft cush drive 7786. shit and it $37 now.. jeeeeze. at the time it wasn't more than $20. have fan
And another tip is to run a couple of the bolts holding that plastic cover on... all the way through and nut em. But yeah, that end piece block is a no brainer, eh?
i just reread you comment. i didnt realize you nut and bolted the plastic cover piece on. good idea. next time i tare it down in putting that to use,
Space 🚀 invaders you are
Yes it seams. This truck is a beast. i have only broke 1 arm and a couple minor parts.. it is the "Beast Master" of RC's.
Hello, how many mm are the inside front turnbuckles in mm? So inside inside for the toe-out. Thank you very much from 🇦🇹
Both steering arms have to be equal length. mine are 123mm from screw hole to screw hole. This may not be the same for you, because i have a set of rear turnbuckles on the front. it took some doing but now i have 5mm wide instead of the 3mm stock ones. much stronger. other than that i m not sure if i answered your question. but having 2 or 3 degrees toe out for better steering capabilities.
I totally agree with you I have an Xmaxx and Outcast 8s no problems with the diffs on the Outcast, Xmaxx tons of problem I changed the bulkhead and used an aluminum cover no problems since
absolutely. it's a week point,, there is way to many places for it to flex. which is ok i guess,... but the last place you want weakness is exactly at that point. at least the aluminum gives it more rigitray have fun
Nice jumping. Love my new EXB except for the fact my wing mount already broke, and they are on backorder.
you using the new RPM wing mount. i think i have 4 of them mounted. and never broke one sense. mounts from the under skid plate to the wing. perty nice. have fun
@readeracing750 thanks for the info. I'll look into that one. Hopefully, it matches up to the new EXB design.
@@mikejacobs8294 oh shit. I don't think the new EXB RTR is that way. The new RTR has a totally different set up. I thought you were talking about the older version. My Bad
@readeracing750 no problem. It is a totally different design and being so new, nobody has come out with a replacement yet. So I'll continue to bash and wait for Arrma or anybody to make the part. Thanks for responding..
Nice Flying
thanks brou. have fun
Awesome bash dude🤘
Thanks 👍... thanks brou. it was nice to get out between the rain storms to do my bashing. Have Fun
I hope your weather holding out. you get nice days there to bash.?
@readeracing750 basically we're in the rainy season here in Southern Spain, almost done, but yeah man along of beautiful days
ya it sure makes a berdon on my hobby. lol but to my surprise i wake up and it's snowing. i guess i best get out there and seize the snow bashing. have fun
Awesome vid! Thats was the issue I was commenting about in your kraton vid I believe. I started putting rubber in both ends of the axle and drive cups so it can’t slid too far. I found it to work better than the o rings. But if the cups are worn, ya, it’s worse. I’ve never had a tlr. The old school typhons are great for massive sends. I hope you get her back going again soon! Loosing an axle is the worst! It’s so unnecessary! I have one in my driveway I still need to find lol. Hope all is good bud! I subbed! Keep it up dude!🤘👊💪
ya i hear ya. i had a brain fart between the ears. lol
