    Just got one and noticed that. is it normal for that gear to slide in and out. floating from lined up to hitting half the gear

  • @readeracingRC
    @readeracingRC4 күн бұрын

    no that's bad. if your talking about the pinion gear. no you need to remove the gear and grub screw. clean the grub screw and the pinion gear threads with alcohol. to where there is no more dirt (oil) from the factory. has to be clean. then apply blue or orange lock tight. red is really hard to get off. (permanent) and let dry for 24 hours.

    How can I fix a ball joint that has popped out on my Arrma 6S RC car? Looking for detailed steps and preventive measures to stop it from happening again. Thanks

  • @readeracingRC
    @readeracingRC11 күн бұрын

    my apologies for the lousy explanation in the video. i mean to do it over. But the whole idea is the shafts were made first on the rtr's. the exb came out and put the red ring on the end of the arm to make it stronger. i see not needed. but there about 1.5 mm thickness. so adding the ring's made the shafts to short. by removing them it puts it back to stock. but it's still to short in the first place. i have ground off the plastics on the end of the arm to make it shorter. and the ball will not pop out when landing off big jumps or the swing arm bottoms out and it just walks it self out. a found the more worn out your bearing, cups, diffs. get it makes the isus come back. so keeping it fresh will keep it from doing it. also putting in the rubber insert you put in the cup helps to.

  • @readeracingRC
    @readeracingRC11 күн бұрын

    oh wait i read yours again. you mean the balls at the end of the arm. the steering blocks? oh oh. you mean the plastic is worn out. its messed up the first time it pops out. nothing really you can do, but get some aluminum ones. hot racing vivitvon etc. the plastics stretch out and it's a bad design for plastic parts. should be aluminum from the factory.

The videos... well... not so much. i been doing this hobby for 4-5 years, but making a video is like virgin territory for me. Im hoping they will get better as time goes by. Awesome vid! Thats was the issue I was commenting about in your kraton vid I believe. I started putting rubber in both ends of the axle and drive cups so it can’t slid too far. I found it to work better than the o rings. But if the cups are worn, ya, it’s worse. I’ve never had a tlr. The old school typhons are great for massive sends. I hope you get her back going again soon! Loosing an axle is the worst! It’s so unnecessary! I have one in my driveway I still need to find lol. Hope all is good bud! I subbed! Keep it up dude!🤘👊💪
