My KZread channel is mostly a crafty place. It is focused mainly on paper crafting but you will probably also find a few other videos here and there. The main videos you will find are related to scrapbooking, journal/ephemera making, card making, layout shares, and the occasional haul video. You can also find me on Facebook facebook.com/Froggie251-Scrapbooking-163878987288199/, Instagram at instagram.com/froggie251/ and at my Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/TheMotleyFrog?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1129981635.

You used some of my favorite papers ever from Carta Bella! Very cute and festive. 😊 By the way, I believe 3 in 1 is actually acetone based as that is what the manufacturer says to use as a solvent to thin or remove it. I can't remember for sure, but Fabri-Tac might be the alcohol based version. 😊👍
Thanks for watching and the info!
Love this style!❤
This is a wonderful tutorial that I refer back to often. Thanks for this easy-to-understand and easy-to-follow video. ❤
So glad you have found it so helpful. Thanks for the compliment!
Hi I'm new to your channel, this is such a great idea, and it's so much quicker to mass make the clusters, thank for the tip.
No problem. Thanks for coming by and watching. It’s nice to hear from new people.
Fabulous video thank you very much Linda
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your comment and sorry for the delay in my reply.
Love your style and talent! ❤
Thank you so much 😊.
I saved this also because I've been doing them individually, and it takes so long!
Yeah, this is so much faster.
I learned a ton thank you so much.
Very welcome! Sorry for the delay in responding.
Super fantastic 😍❤️💞
Thanks 🤗! Sorry for my delay in responding to your comment.
@@TheMotleyFrogno problem❤
So love that combination with straw paper and that fabric behind❤❤
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Love them❤
Thank you!
Your channel name got my attantion, so I watched your video! What a cool way to make clusters for a junk journal! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! ~Janet in Canada
Thank you Janet. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial.
Love this thank you for sharing!!
Thank you!
What gesso do you use?I had bought a gesso to try a while ago and it was really gritty!
Yeah. All of the white gesso that I have tried is gritty. The only smooth gesso that I can find is clear. I could be wrong but I think the white gesso is meant to be gritty. If you want something that is not gritty you could try white paint. That works if you’re just trying to “push” things to the background. It just isn’t great if you want to do water color or something over it.
Wow! These clusters have it all. And they look so fun to make. So many great techniques in this video. Thanks.
Thank you. Yeah, they are one of my favorite things to make. Thanks for watching.
A super simple layout but super cute. Love it!
Thank you.
Great idea super easy!
Thank you.
Just love all the little details you add that take your journal to a new level. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊.
Love your creativity.
Thank you
So cute!!!
Thank you! Happy New Year 🎊.
My recollection circle punch does the same thing, so fustrating. I ordered a new one off Amazon and works fine.
Good to know. Maybe I’ll have to try one from Amazon.
Love these tag journals! So cute! I have a question off topic, I’m so curious about where your channel name came from. It’s funny. My first thought was a frog who sings rock music. I know the spelling isn’t the same as the band, but it made me laugh!
I love frogs and my KZread channel was called Froggie251. When I was thinking about what to name my Etsy shop, I wanted to stay with a frog theme and because I wanted to sell both handmade items and vintage items that were not necessarily all the same, I decided on Motley Frog because it is a mix of items.
I love that you are creating this journal at your own pace. It’s turning out beautifully! I’m a new subie and look forward to seeing more of your work throughout this journal. ❤ happy holidays to you and your family!
Thank you so much! I was really excited to start working in it but you know...life 🙂. Thanks for subbing and i am glad you are enjoying the videos. Have a wonderful New Year!
Love these clusters! Have you ever done a video on coffee dying or tea dying? I’ve never tried that, but love the look!
Thank you. No, I haven’t done a video on tea/coffee dying. But my process is very simple. I just brew strong coffee or tea, pour it in a bin, add one piece of paper at a time, and let soak for a few minutes. The longer, the darker. Then I pull each piece out and put on the top of my garden wall. The one watch out I would say is to make sure you use a some what decent quality copy paper. I got some cheaper Amazon brand recycled paper one time and it just fell apart on me.
I like the idea of putting them all on a bigger paper first
Yes. I think it makes it a lot easier.
You’re clusters are beautiful like it very much xx
Thank you Lucie.
Do glue sticks hold over time? So disappointing to look in old albums and see pices falling off that I’ve used tape runners for. Maybe glue sticks would be a good option for me. Loving this tag album!
Good question. I have definitely had that experience with tape runners. Even ones I thought would work great over time. I have been using glue sticks for a few years and haven’t seen any issues when I have used the uhu glue but I only use it on thinner papers. I use a liquid glue when gluing cardstock or more thick/textured papers. I really think it depends on the brand of glue stick you use, how much glue you get down on the paper, and the type of paper you’re gluing on.
The sped up voice track was off putting.
Thank you for your feedback
These are so cute! Great idea!
Thank you.
I never think of using vellum in my DD but I am going to add some this year. I’m getting some new ideas from your older videos for my 2023 DD.
Awesome. Yeah, vellum is fun to play with.
You are inspiring. I hesitate to use brads but see your journal has them. I may try and use mine since I have a few lol
Thank you. Brads are fun and I like the dimension it give the layout.
Beautiful journal
Thank you.
Love this album! Can’t wait to see some of the pages!
Thank you.
I have some of those Szu brads too. I forgot. I need to get them out to use. Lovely ideas for making these ahead.
Glad you like them!
That tiny trim is a tatted trim. Lucky to purchase a nice piece of it.
Thanks for the info.
This is a great idea , really a lot faster. Thanks for sharing your and the others ideas.
Thanks for watching and your comment. Yeah, I can knock them out so much faster this way.
Love repurposing packaging!! These look great!!
Thank you so much. It is nice not having to throw things in the trash and to use them in our projects.
Love love love these!!!
Thank you!
These are just so awesome, love them!!! Can you please make more types like circle clusters, etc?
Circles would be fun. I’ll have to remember that and try sometime.
This was amazing. Thank you greatly.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks.
These are gorgeous! We have the same approach! Love your addition of cheesecloth. I've used tulle in the back, but I like your dyed cheesecloth!
Thank you. I like the idea of tulle too.
Congrats, a very nice journal. I especially like the combination with hand sewing and layers with fabric in the background. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thank you.
What a great idea and I really love your clusters. Thanks
Thank you ☺️.
I really enjoyed watching this. Thank you.
Thank you!

Thank you.
Love the video, watching in Sept 23. Weird to be hearing about the circumstances of a few years ago. Will certainly be doing some of your clusters thank you.
Yeah. Every once in a while I listen back to old videos and it is interesting to hear what was going on then. Glad you liked the clusters. Happy making.
I have been doing the same It’s so much easier than doing individual ones Great idea 😊
Yep, totally agree.
I saved this because it is just “oh so good”!
Thank you 😊
Same🙂
Thank you!
Your clusters are amazing and inspired me to make my own. Thank you so much ❤
Thanks so much. They are a lot of fun to make.
