Try getting your hands on a rejuvenation charger. It will take 48 hours to recondition the battery but it will operate as good as new. I've done it on my agm 4x4 battery that is now my backup power battery.

That's the problem with battery systems wired in series. Some of the batteries in the circuit will drop to a lower voltage than the others. They will not charge equally, even though common sense says they should, there's nothing in the circuit to monitor the individual battery voltages. If you add a seperate charge controller for each battery (one of the $10 Chinese cheapies per 12 volt battery) rather than trying to charge the batteries while they're hooked up in series, you'll have better results. Sure, you'll be limiting your charge for each battery to the maximum amps of the cheapie charge controller, but even the 30 amp controllers are pretty inexpensive. The bonus is each battery will now be maintained at the perfect voltage rather than dropping below 12 volts. It only takes one discharge below 12 volts to kill a cell in a perfectly good battery. On the bright side, you may be able to bring the bad cell back to life in the problem battery with a few high amp cycles. Throw the amps to it, let it cool, then repeat. Adding a little Chinese cheapie charge controller to each battery in the series circuit is the way to go.

What kind of batteries are those?? Gel?? If so equalizing gel batteries with a higher voltage is not a good idea.. You also have to be mindful not to charge or discharge them at a high rate or you can damage the cell plates.. At this point LiFePo4 batteries have come down in price and are equal to or cheaper than lead based batteries but have a longer life and greater storage capacity per pound than lead.. So maybe it is time to instead of replacing failing lead batteries to start saving up for a transition to LiFePo4 cells/batteries..

On any 24v 36v or 48v battery system, you need a battery balancing unit. Keeps all in sync and balanced voltage.

Battery might just be bad , the wire theory w also make sense but they look thick enough to not have a bottleneck I would assume the cell is bad and not holding a charge like they used to

  • 2 күн бұрын

On gel battery banks where you have 2 or more in series the first negative side cell usually takes quite a beating from charging over .1C and tends to short or strip the lead.. Equalizing gel batteries does more harm than good so I always recommend that the batteries get rotated every 3 to 6 months so as to spread out the wear to a different batteries negative cell plate.. Liquid acid like in L-16 batteries seems to tolerate a little higher C rate and can be equalized and cleaned using like 60vdc for 30 minutes on a 48 volt bank.. For gel the use of a long float at 55v and rotating the batteries is the best option..

What about health care for children? Or anything relevant for children? School, out of school activities etc I have many questions for you about many things! Health and efficacy especially. I'm Australian and I understand there is a big difference in culture

Health care for children is free. But if it something major like surgery they might have to fly them to NZ.. School is the same except for detention they will work around the school picking weeds and gardening. Some schools still smack the kids. School activities after school are sports. Also the have night school programs.. the hardest thing is to understand the language and culture.

Honey is basically pure sugar. I'm going back to Australia tomorrow. In tongatapu now. Despite being a diabetic myself the main advice I got for the flu was lots of honey a and lemon. Crazy thing was they said honey isn't sugar. They advised panadol for food poisoning, the flu and being tired. The level of ignorance of the people I have stayed with in Eua and Tongatapu is scary. The lady who lives here said she doesn't want to feed her child weet bix ( A very healthy breakfast cereal) as the sweet biscuits, milk, broken pieces of large amounts of white bread and 2 Tablespoons of sugar is better for her child...omg - no idea...sad The parents are huge, tell me to eat till full stand up and shake the food down eat more. Apparently they think this is heathy to stuff themselves on huge amounts of white bread cassava, yam and taro. My friends brother had a stroke and had been told by some crazy woman that I if he gives her $5000 she will heal his limp arm and leg.. She also told him he is haunted by an evil spirit.
