In exchange for a car that’s not nearly as ‘fast’ as the cars on the current market. You get a car that will last literally a lifetime and while those current fast cars will need to visit a mechanic every single month at least this car will get you months without a visit if maintained right and driven right. Also those cars are easy to assamble and dessembale and they’re a piece of art.😊

About the time that I got my driver's license, my dad got a new 1971 Ford Galaxie 500 that fortunately had air conditioning. At first, he would rarely let me drive it, I was relegated to driving his 1962 Oldsmobile 88.

I drove one of these for years. My second car. My first car was a '59 Edsel Ranger. You don't actually hit your knee on the dogleg. Never. I wish I still had it my favorite car of my life.

Interesting review: Toggling thru the dash menus you can easily access which gear you are in, which is displayed, if you know how. Very easily. The car has 311 horsepower, and not what you stated. I have driven the car for almost 4 years with the least gas millage of 21 and the most, up to 34 on the freeway at 70+ mph. At 60 mph, if you were at 2200 rpm, then you were driving in sport or sport+ mode, as at 60 mph, I am always at sub 2000 rpm in normal or economy mode. This car so far has been bullit proof, figurtively speaking, and a joy to drive. The car is not a sports car but rather a grand touring car in which it is very capable, and I can drive for hours without any fatigue. This may be the best overall vehicle I have ever owned and I'm on the far side of 75. I have had performance or sports cars all my life. Although it has 4 seats, it is a 2 seater in all respects.

Y would a floor shifter automatically make it an automatic? It looked like a hurst 3 speed floor shift conversion from a 3 on the tree. The Only floor shifter an eb came with, was the t case shifter. Still could be an auto shifter of course, some after market unit. I couldn’t really see it great.

I always wondered why they just didn’t make that panel removable from the factory, so you wouldn’t have to jack the car up to remove the engine.

I had an 87 but it was loaded, great lil car, but no power, just like my '13 Sentra, no power but great on gas. Kids in HS used to run the heck out of these. Have not seen one in over 10 years!
