This channel is going to be geared towards the MD ATV and UTV community. I would really like to do some ATV camping but I cannot seem to find areas to do that. I have found camp grounds along with cabins lodging and bed & breakfast. I will support these businesses along with reviews. If using a camp ground I will be trying to do as much bush crafting style of camping when I can. If my wife is with me we will be doing more glamping instead of camping. I look forward to hearing from you and any suggestions you have. I have made a couple trips to some riding places that are not regulated by anyone. Lets just call this stealth riding. My biggest problem I see with this is there is a lot of trash being left behind. I'm going to try and start promoting a leave it better than you found it mentality for the ATV and UTV riding communities as well. Please like and subscribe and I hope to see you out there.

    By the way you camped out at Hatfield's Hideout, correct? What's the bathroom situation there? You said you slept in a hammock. What sorts of bathrooms/showers were there? Just want to know.

    You're going to think I'm a creep with all these comments lol. Just wanted to look back but this time pay more close attention especially considering this is the exact trail I will be taking. Just to look closer at the details. These are the best videos I can find so I figured just why not just look back. Good to see the unedited footage to really look at each turn you take. I have the trail already planned out on Polaris ride command. I did almost too much research (there's never too much) but it is just about practically required considering it's a 12-hour drive and it's a one-time thing so I probably will not come here again for another couple years...

    @@millerworks3003 should see you there, man!! Memorial day's gonna be a blast!!! Crazy how the saturday before I'm going to be on the rosad the entire day... Sunday and Monday will be the riding days. You should get back to riding as well. It's been a long while and you could use some trail therapy haha. Put the Brute back together and take her for one last adventure. Hopefully your arm has already healed by this time. but yeah I usually ride what seems to be slower than what was shown in the video, and you also said in part 4 that it was likely because you bypassed your engine braking... I didn't but if I stay in 4WD my engine braking should be completely fine. Unfortunately my arm is not totally healed. A normal healing time is 6 weeks. But not in my case. I’m special and need over 6 months. Remember I broke it in April of last year. It didn’t heal and in fact got worse. That’s when I needed the surgery at the end of September last year. I’m coming in to the last part of the 7 months since the surgery and it’s still not totally healed. It is close but not close enough to get released to start riding again. In the next couple weeks I’m planning on getting the Brute back together. I will keep you posted. I don’t think I’m heading back to Hatfield until I get the SxS. I will let you know if I’m taking the Brute for one last ride and that may be at AOAA or Mountain Ridge. If it’s AOAA we can schedule a meet up. Until then my friend I will have to live vicariously through your posted adventures.

    I have seen a half dozen AOAA videos by people (dirt bikers) that liked it, but one sort of said they didn't like it because there are extremely few single track (ie dirt bike) trails you are allowed on. Who is accurate? Can you go on the majority of the trails or only a few with dirt bikes? Actually it’s only the EPS and putting the radiator back behind the bumper. It just looks like a lot because the front fender is off. I’m going to work on cleaning up the mess of wires and make it look more professional. I may as well while she is stripped down and things are more accessible.

    Thanks man! I like the look of the CF quads. I think if I had to choose another quad I would get a Grizzly. The Brute is a tank though. I just pulled it out the cargo trailer tonight. It hasn’t left the trailer since the accident. I’m trying to get it torn apart and fixed before my next trip to Mountain Ridge ATV park in PA. If you haven’t already could you subscribe and like. I’m trying to grow the channel. Thanks in advance.

    Sucks that you weren't so lucky and got Injured.But with the footage situation I didn't record because I though "well nothing is going to happen, right?" well I was dead wrong, and so I didn't record absolutely wrecking my KingQuad but at least i was ok. Worse for me, I don't have any photos either. But I still rather be uninjured in which I got lucky. That Brute Force must be a tank. anyways, I wish you good luck on recovering!

    Thanks brother. Like I said in the video I have been playing it over and over in my head. I’m glad I came out of it with just a broken arm. I’m actually trying to get the Brute ready for the June weekend night ride at Mountain Ridge. It should be a great time. I see you ride AOAA a good bit. I’m planning on getting back there too. Be safe out there and hopefully we can meet up on the trails soon.

    @@millerworks3003 yeah, I played my crash over and over in my head as well. I mean, a broken arm is still nothing compared to being crippled for life or just dying on the spot. But for falling 60 feet off a trail is just crazy to think about the fact that both you and your brute force aren't horribly damaged. also, I haven't been to mountain ridge, and i might not go anytime soon since it is over 5 hours away from me while AOAA is only about 3. But there it's nice that you can ride at night, not AOAA. AOAA is just too massive and it wouldn't be safe. Is mountain ridge big as well? it would be nice to know. But with mods, I feel like moving the radiator back to its original spot and making space for storage would be a good idea. i don't go long distance, but it's a good idea. I think about getting a Bison bumper for my Kingquad.

    @@FullsendOffroad look into the camp sites and make it a long weekend. That’s what I do. I’m about 2.5 hours from AOAA and 3 from Mountain Ridge. I like AOAA because you can ride in to town and grab a bite and fuel if needed. I stayed at MT for a 3 day weekend and we hit 80% of the green and blue trails. It’s a fun area with plenty of nice and technical trails. I like Famous Reading Outdoor also but they only do annual passes now and no camping. I’m thinking of not renewing my pass after this year.

    I lucked out on the cast. It’s a soft cast. Basically it’s a splint. I went to an urgent care and the put me in this soft cast. They said to do a follow up with an Orthopedic doctor. They did not put any urgency on that. So 2 weeks later I made the appointment with the Orthopedic doctor. He said if I would have made the appointment directly after he would have put me in a hard cast. He said the bone is healing and decided to let me keep the soft cast. Thank goodness because he said I can take it off for showing. I was so happy about that as I was treating it like a hard cast. Lol

  • @millerworks3003
    @millerworks3003 Жыл бұрын

    I use ride command a by default so I can make a group ride. AOAA suggests you use Maprika. With Maprika you can download the map they use and the gps when you have good signal shows what trails you are on. You can also use the tracking feature to see where you have been so you know if your going in circles.

    I agree there is a lot to explore and I’m definitely planing more trips. I know there is another place in the area to ride (Famous Reading Outdoors) but I like AOAA because you don’t need an annual pass. I’m sure I will be purchasing one as I plan on more trips but if I want to take someone who has never been or only plans on going once the option for daily passes are more convenient. Plus AOAA has a campsite close by and places in town to stay if making it a more than a day trip.
