The store was owned by *Rich and Nedra Perry of Atlantic, IA.* How strange that a *"Perry" Jewelry store* is located in *_West Village, Greenwich Village, Lower Manhattan, New York City, NY._* Is there a _family connection_ betwixt *Rich and Nedra Perry of Atlantic, IA* and *Marisa Perry* of _New York City's 'Marisa Perry Atelier'?_ A _paper-based book_ of mine states the following: *_"(The Albert S. You mentioned blonde and olive complected tones for white and yellow colour metals respectively, but what about those with darker skin tones? What colour would suit them? Or do you not cater to those with darker skin tones?
Marisa, you are correct that mining diamonds is labor intensive, but not so to justify the high prices. The real reason diamonds are so expensive, is because De Beers has a virtual monopoly on diamonds. There is NO diamond shortage. De Beers was convicted in absentia for violating Anti-Trust laws due to the monopoly they have on the diamond market. You can look it up. If a diamond holds its value or not, it should NOT be looked at like an investment, it is an expense. I have to buy a lab diamond because many if not most natural diamonds are BLOOD diamonds. Yes, it is true, even though most people don't want to acknowledge this. But, I like your content and thank you for the info you provide.

It seems that natural diamonds would decrease in value because people are now more socially aware and are not interested in blood diamonds. Also, they are competing with lab grown diamonds and moissanite, thereby likely decreasing their value further. Considering the violence behind natural diamonds, that’s a good thing.

Hmmmm gold exceeded platinum in the mid to late 1970’s early 1980’s as well....
My absolutely gorgeous wedding ring is set in white gold. I've had it for years and it's still gorgeous. No cream color.
I love yellow gold. The 5:03 and 6:15 are beautiful. I am not sure what to choose. I like the square shape and oval. Still debating. I would like something for my birth stone too.
Why only platinum for white metals? Some people want a white metal but don't like the weight of platinum or the patina. You can dip gold however many times you want but you can't polish platinum however many times you want...

When shopping for my engagement ring, my fiancé at the time was really focused on the diamond and so was I, don't get me wrong. Negotiating on the stone was totally acceptable but when it came to the setting, I wanted what I wanted. It was a Verragio Semi mount with two 16 point side stones in heavy platinum. It was really expensive because of the thick, sculptural band with no stones on it. I wanted a substantial ring with some design elements on the band but with no stones as to not detract from the center stone and because I find stones on the band a bit too feminine for my taste. Its not a showy ring even with the 1.37 center stone. But I loved the sculptural band which I NEVER have seen since the day we purchased it. It's been 16 yrs and every year when I go into our jewelry store to get it cleaned and tightened up, while I wait, I always check out all the rings in the cases. And even though, they are all so beautiful, I STILL love my setting more.

My boyfriend has bought me a enjamment ring he went to jewellery shop himself only and I gave him my ring size all I know it is a enjamment ring calling it a friendship ring only in a red box I have never seen it before he is hiding it very well. Just engaged now but I come from a jewellery family but I don't know what a friendship ring I am just wearing my claddagh ring as my enjamment ring now until the day he puts the ring on my finger

This is so untrue. Unless you have an extraordinary diamond, you will never get what you paid for it. If you can have the same lab created diamond, and pay 1/3 the cost, with the same sparkle, go for it. Babies made in labs are just like babies made in bedrooms.

@@marisaperryofficial3531 I sold my diamond (natural) engagement ring after a divorce. Two jewelers told me that the stone would need to recut before it was resold. It decreased in value since it would decrease in size. I guess a diamond can represent love, but what actually IS love is the little things like letting the dog out if I’m tired, etc.
