This was the first year when Pro Stock went from carburetors to electronic fuel injection. It was weird seeing them without the big hood scoops. Although it's not the same as a nitro warmup, Pro Stockers are magnificent works of engineering.
Bearings are beautiful

What man will think of... (Thank God !)
Wuss
Man, that 16:1 compression sure makes a LOUD SNAP, CRACKLE AND POP!!!!!
Ted Nugent? That did it for me! 👎🏼!
Replace that engine with a nice, clean, quiet electric motor!
....no thank you.
You are kidding,right?

This video doesn't do that justice, I stood this close to a funny car, the vibration was insane, and don't try to talk, no one can hear you. The power is real.
Sweet !!
Mean Chad Green.
That was an awesome day.
😄 *Promosm*
after listening to a top fuel warm it's take the muffler off it my street car is louder
Was there and got to see this one and Rat Trap warm up and also got to see one of the top fuels warm up
Good job love you From Dino Mares Fontana CA
LOVE the reaction!! :) ♥ “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13 ♥
Either the announcer is wrong, or they did an engine swap on the Divco since I saw it in 2021 when it had a twin turbo big block and no roll cage.
It still has the twin turbo big block. I didn’t see a cage but they did reinforce the windshield structure.
👍👍👍👍
Cool!!!!!!!!!!👍👍
The raceway at Beech Bend KY , Rockingham, NC , and Norwalk OH are the Best and Fastest sanctioned dragstrips in The United States of America .
I agree!
Old 392 sounds sweet!
Oh yea!
Cackling nitro hemi is so cool.
Nitro fumes not good
Nitro fumes are very good!
They may not be good, but I've been huffing nitro fumes since 1970 and I'm going back for more in a few months.
Nice Job !!!
Thanks!
The ONLY sport where the fans can actually go right up to the cars (almost touch them), listen to the crew get things done; watch an entire car torn down and built back up in 30 minutes. Yes, the NITRO is a rush, mixed with burnt rubber; the earth quakes, your eyes shake, and EVEN wearing hearing protection you will be deaf for a few days. I worked medical rescue, before the NHRA Safety Safari was established.
Long live ATL DRAGWAY❤️🏁
Which seating section is this
Section Q, 33 Rows up. Across from the 330’ mark.
Da man, AJ!!!!
I listened to this with headphones on turned up, and man it was just like I was at the track . Only thing missing was the nitro and the fumes. LOVE THIS SPORT !!!
Even then it doesn’t do justice, the feeling in person really is something else lol
My word, even just the warm-up is an event in itself!
Nice way to arrange the exhaust pipes Audi!
no disrespect...but that girl is not going to stabilize 15k...
Driver Doug Foley
There's no better experience in motorsports!!!
Aahh, nothing like a good huff of nitro!!
What, no seat the clutches?
No throttle blip? Rip off
Very few teams still do the blip. Mostly only on race day you will hear one or two.
Thanks for content from this year alot was not seen
Was this filmed with a potato?
It wasn’t. The prospective is what a fan would see high in the grandstands at the 660’ mark.
How much nitromethane have you inhaled
I’ve been to at least one NHRA national event since every year since 1992. Have plans to attend several events this year.
Sound bouncing off that roof is gotta be loud
It is actually. Cool place to check out a race if you are ever in Bowling Green, KY.
Nitro fumes not good with respiratory protection
Like smoking 20 sigarets a day?
@@Joop.23-2-63different toxin.
I have a couple of questions. I love top fuel racing and yearly visit NHRA events. What was the sound of compressed air before rhe start up? Pressurizing the fuel system? Also are nitro fumes bad to inhale? Thanks for the video.
The clutches on a AA/Fuel dragster or funny car are operated with a combination of centrifugal weights and compressed air or C02. Nitro fumes are an irritant. As a spectator I would think you would be fine being exposed to them. I’ve been to at least one NHRA event per year since 1992. As you can see I hang on the rope as long as I can stand it.
kzread.info/dash/bejne/qHyLpqOMprzandY.html Here Clay Millican explains how a clutch operates on a top fuel car.
Yes they are without a respirator
Nitromethane is terrible and should not be inhaled

Respect that drive in Top Fuel at low budget!
Such a smooth operation until all he'll breaks loose on the track!
