They forgot to mention that it was the Ohio Valley Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society rescued that instrument, maintained for 22 years at the Emery, and eventually donated it to Music Hall about a decade ago. Please give credit where credit is due.

Is this organ permanently installed at the Aronoff? I had no idea it was there. I hope they utilize it a lot bc it is a very rare thing these days!

As a lifelong theater organ enthusiast, I was surprised to read a previous comment questioning Mark Herman's expertise on the Mighty Wurlitzer, and listened carefully to this concert to judge for myself. Although Mark doesn't need any defending (you only need to listen) I can confirm that this concert displays his usual ability as both sensitive accompanist and exciting soloist. In my book, Mark is one of the very best exponents of this nostalgic art-form and I can't think of many others who I enjoy listening to more. Sound is absent for the pre-concert announcement slides but present for the entire concert.

Any moron who doesn’t know Mark is amazing is simply ignorant of his music! He is the best.

I was disappointed that there was no music and voiceover at the beginning of the video when the announcements were appearing. It is great that Mark Herman played at Music Hall 9 times, but there are other great organists out there that can do circles around him. The guest performers were good. Thank you for sharing the concert on KZread.

Way to go Reds! It's so wonderful to share this magnificent organ with people that may not be aware of such an instrument. Thank you, Mark and Cincinnati Music Hall.

And might I say, that is a beautiful venue and great theater organ. But you didn’t let the gentleman finish the song... Nice music and presentation! I was surprised that the humidity was 40%. I would have though it would need to be a lot lower. Thanks again! 🎁👍🏼

Maybe I missed it. But did he say how many tanks this organ has? And did I see 3 or 4 manuals?
@timbo3893 жыл бұрын
3 manuals, 31 ranks. Essentially the original 15 plus 9 ranks of theatre and 7 classical.
