Welcome to our channel. As the name suggests, TecknoMechanics is an education oriented channel providing knowledge to people who want to understand mechanical principles through technical visualizations. We make videos about different topics related to mechanisms used in various machines, automobiles, etc with relevant and clear 3D animations. If you are new here, welcome to the family of people who believe in education through practical visualization.

The relation between torque and rpm as explained in the video is confusing and misleading to me. Power is always a product between torque and rpm. It is for a given engine not independently controlable. A specific engine has a specific torque over rpm curve and therefore a specific power over rpm curve you can either optimize the variomatic for maximum torque or maximum power, but not both. The centrifugal force is not determined by the engines torque, but by the engines shaft speed (rpm). The torque at a certain rpm defines for how long the engine can keep the transmission under increasing load (e.g. inclining road) at a related ratio before reducing the ratio due to loss of speed which then leads to reduced centrifugal force and therefore leads to a "downshifting" of the variomatic. I suppose that most variomatic transmissions are optimized to the max. torque point of the engine.
Just awesome 😮❤😂
amazing really - think how far we have come in a short time.
Yeah, but how does it all work together to make a smooth shift?
This audio is so Weird........ is so creepy .... Ughhhhh
How much should Starter Motor spin to start the engine
Love these videos. This voice is taking me to peaceful places, too!
Nice job, thanks!
v.good
5:08 Is there a reason why this ground off surface is not between 1st and last gear?
Thank you
good thanks
informative❤
More clarification on gear engement and belt adjustment plz
U did a great explanation.
I have been looking for this, thank you for this video!
Voice is extremely annoying
"47. Diana here"
So smart bro
Shifting forks are the real deal🎉
Finally I got it
You also labelled parts
Thank u
THANKS A LOT FOR THE GOOD EXPLANATION.
Ton of thaanks!
Where’s ol mate smashing on it with a hammer in the pouring rain?
Beautifully explained. Subscribed!
Required me to watch it 2 times to understand.
I didn't understand how the one way clutch for the starter works (how the rollers get trapped). Found it in another video.
Does it overheat from the constant friction between friction discs and steel plates?
So the free wheel gears exist to transfer movement between the driving shaft to the dog gears and then to the driven shaft. But how does a freewheel gear rotate without rotating the shaft?
How does it work in idle? It seems like the scooter will automatically run as soon as the engine runs.
i still dont understand :( gonna have to find an easier understanding video :/
Ok now I understand but i still have to clutch dump my motorcycle to go anywhere
Best video clutches. Easily understood
Then what affects its pick up 🤔
ive torn bikes down but never really knew how the transmission works, you understand it alot better when you can visualize whats happening while youre shifting.
I needed a gear selection explanation to send a friend and found this one. Hey! I was the technical director of a Japanese motorcycle brand for 14 years and never saw anything this good. Who need's the factory tear-down manual? Brilliant! Well done you folks.
I have lathe that has the same system of adjusting the rpms. Pretty cool that even a scooter uses very similar technology
So this is synchromesh gearing. I've heard it for decades but I never visualised it before. This makes total sense! The notched free gears are still rotating with the rest of the system but without power delivery until the keyed gears are slid into them. This is really clever!
Hi, when i went to ride my bike the other day the gears wont shift when moving or stationary. Im not sure why its doing it as i was out on it just hours before and it was fine. Any ideas of how to fix it? Thanks
i put a new variator set and now its always high rpm haha
I have like zero knowledge about this stuff but this is so fascinating
That sounds like one smart hot babe talking.
Straight forward and easy to understand 🙌
Straight forward and easy to understand 🙌
Whoever invented this was a genius.
Az iskolában ezt miért nem tanítják? 👏👏🙌
Yay
Alhoewel al oud, het blijft een vernuftige uitvinding.
