Super helpful top10. Our next trip is Koh Mak & Koh Kood...were you bothered by sand fly's and whats your suggestion for prevention/treatment.
Thank you for your comment, very kind of you to take time out of your day. We went beginning of February and didn't see or hear a single sandfly and no problems with mosquitos either. There were a handful of Jellyfish on Koh Mak washed up on the beach but we didn't see any signs in Koh Kood. We can recommend the Black Banana restaurant near to the tinkerbell resort on Koh Kood, the Thai Green Curry was the best Ive had. We stayed at Makathanee resort on Koh Mak, the location was great but the accommodation was not worth the money. RimLay on Koh Kood the accommodation was great but there are better locations. Have you booked your accommodation yet ? We hope you have a great time on the 2 islands and make some wonderful memories. Nikki & Mark ❤️
After K.Kinabalu, go to Brunie then come to Sarawak. 1st city after Brunie is Miri, Sarawak. Make your way to Kuching, the capital of Sarawak.

I've stayed a couple of times in the same exactly room you had, at the other side of the beach is a long and hard to walk path that takes you to Ao Phrao beach.
@petrosk wow 🤭 same room...small world. The room was amazing and really great location. The resort was fantastic and staff really kind and couldn't do enough for us. We rode a scooter to Ao Phrao beach but managed to walk the pathway through the jungle to A La Koh Kood Resort at Khonghin beach, this beach was more sheltered from the wind than Rimlay. Uhhh, Phuket and Krabi are 2 hours away from each other. A beach that's 30 minute away from both is impossible.
@keithcortez5929 Thank you for your comment and hope you are well....We took the ferry from Nopparat Thara Pier Ao Nang in the province of Krabi to Manoh Pier in Koh Yao Noi and the Speed boat from Manoh Pier to Bang Rong Pier in Phuket we booked through 12GO and indeed I checked again and these are the timings its shows. 😊

Is early checkin possible ? Like if we pay something extra ? As becoz we are arriving in morning
Our flight to Langkawi from KL was early too, the treehouse was booked through airbnb but it is part of Malibest resort, reception allowed us to leave our luggage in a safe place and allowed us to use the pool. We were able to check in a little early at 1pm once the room was ready.❤️
