Tonya Harding paid her dues for what happened in 1994. She lost her chance to skate and she was banned from skating. Tonya Harding had a very hard life and her mother beat her with a hairbrush and Tonya managed to deal with the abuse and still go on skating and she did the triple axle and no one can take that away from her. I remember Nancy Kerrigan's WHY and then the whole story of Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding having this major showdown. People asked Tonya if she knew about the attack? Tonya has paid her dues and she paid for what she did and she is living her life ... leave Tonya alone.

Nancy was never "Saint Nancy", at the same time, Tonya probably knew from the get-go. I honestly think Nancy was told if she skated clean in the free skate, she would win. I honestly thought she believed that. After all it did take a lot of time for the people working the Olympics to find the Ukranian national anthem, didn't it?

There is a huge difference. What Tanya Harding did was a cowardly, sneaky, scheming attempt at CHEATING. Mike Tyson biting the dude’s ear was crazy, but being crazy is very different from deliberate scheming and an attempt to cheat in the sport to affect the outcome.

Wow. Very good made-for-TV film. I wonder if "I, Tonya" took inspiration from this. Both of these films do an excellent job reanacting the tragic true story of these famous female figure skators. Heather Langenkamp was terrific as Nancy Kerrigan here. Lol how ironic considering shes played another famous Nancy (albeit fictional though) in the omega slasher classic A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET!!!! I was surprised to see that Mother Superior of SILENT NIGHT, DESDLY NIGHT was briefly in this even.

After a full investigation, there was never any evidence that TH was involved in the plot. She was an abused child and an abused wife who was scared to tell what she found out after the attack because of her husband’s violence. When she was banned from skating she took up boxing and did the only other thing that she had any experience of…getting hit. Looked at through a 21st century lens, we should be sorry for her, instead of seeing her as the villain.
