Hey Robear, the beach area to the right of the rock ledge I call "Bear Alley", and for good reason lol. Great place to build still though. There are several reasons I can mention later if you decide go there. Bothe peninsulas are good to build too, but remember, the way out of there will have a wolf and a bear spawning somewhere in there too. When I build over that way I like building on the water in the small bay to the right of the rock ledge. The hunters can build at varying distances from your base. I've not had one spawn a log way away though. Keep the starter base in case you can use it either as an FOB or even as a fishing stop. See where the hunters spawn and decide from there.
btw what's the difference between this series and the META one?
One was showing the meta off on warrior but I quickly got bored so I stopped it.
Thanks for staying decent when I quit DF discord; some comment just made me sad; acting all friendly and shitting on me only when I left. Yes, I quit 1st, guess Khanes banned me after. Some reached me on my old discord 2IC account I had leftover from my old days being admin on a Rust server. I wont be using it anymore so yeah it's been cleaned out; so no ragequit; -TobiC- can calm down lol. Screenshots were hilarious. Everything is going fine in my life; some been worried so you can send them my thanks: I'm fine. I needed a pause from 7 days to die anyway and Ive been neglecting some projects irl. My wife def will be happy Im not spending so much time playing zombies. Have a good one.

Thanks for Subsistence play through Robear. I recommend building on the stepping stones. Your still on the western lake for fishing, with ore rock and the central ponds and the low lands close by. With cougar spawn's to the north.
this episode was very engaging had me stressing out and not knowing the time amplified the whole horde night scare

That dying part is key, this game is pretty unforgiving
I love how efficient you are but being too efficient on house looting/fetch quests isn't the most fun thing to watch

letting zombies stack is a bad idea because of dmg multiplier. I always build a base where zombies have to walk on a narrow catwalk: trying to stack they fall down and right before my fighting position I have an electric wire so the one upfront wont swing around and damage stuff. It was an interesting take on a horde base build. Reminds me of my pillars horde base I built in Alpha15. Thanks
Yeah I didn't have it fully ready for the 14 horde, this base includes traps and sledges, for horde 21 we will be increasing to 32 hordes and will have the base chute of the base online.
Why don't you use a crossbow for easy silent stealth kills? Silencer is annoyingly loud. I often clear ALL Crack a Books without firing a single gun shot. horde night just running around in the open on insane permadeath? I was like: "where are you running? ITS HORDE NIGHT!!" woah! yeah with 64 zombies BM count you would be toast... I wont test it haha! I wouldnt risk it tbh.. waaay too many close moments; all it takes is a single hit and messed up leg or whatever debuff and it's done.
I might bump it up to 24, 16 was a bit easy

That is a darkness falls thing, Tourist, Big Mammas, and Hazzmats, Vultures all are spitters as well

@2:45 You got me thinking of what you were doing listening to a clip saying "Berts Brew" and it took a few minutes of detective work but correct me if I am wrong you are following a youtube video called "The Complete Guide to HIDDEN STASH Locations | 7 days to die | Alpha 20.6" by Genosis. While I am sure there is nothing wrong with following someone's guide I would only assume that it would be a nice thing to A. Tell the viewer you are getting your information from this guide and B. Linking the guide in the description.

@@robeargaming4666 Seems anything is allowed on KZread as long as you are not going against the agenda 🙂 Nothing wrong with doing what you did just personally I would have mentioned that I was following a really good guide on stash locations, after all if I was not an A-hole and noticed that clip and being an even bigger A_hole and searching for what it was nobody would have noticed lol. I forgot to ask you on one of your other videos about why you are afraid of gaining levels as I always try and make the loot stage higher ASAP for that sweet loot.
@@datalore3276 On insane you have a 3x game stage multiplier so by not leveling and gaining xp from kills ie the mines, you slow it down and can get Quality Joe and Scavenging up higher before you turn on full send kill mode.. for me personally there are some tress i like to max out before i get there so I do this buy a few things... I spend my nights harvesting stumps for honey, birds nests and veggies, and I full send with mines on book stores and clothing stores, for skillpoints, inks/dyes, and a higher change to get savage country boxes for the shades, the shades give you not ony +15 lootstage but also a 2nd quest reward, 3 if you have the other perk
@19:17 I was trying to figure out why you went "Oh no" and then acted like the word had ended and the only thing I could think was that you were playing a rule like you can not kill any zombies or only by a certain way. IJS some people like me might not have watched any of your videos and it just seemed weird.

Hi , was watching your play , I always make first a woodstoof , next a windmill and solar , then extra storidge and later a fridge , bc you need enough power to keep it running , by the time I make a fridge I have 3 or 4 energy makers , but lets see what your way is gone bring , good luck !

Hey Robear, the game certainly turns on a dime for sure. that low on health would have been better just hiding and waiting it out, without any health kits/bandages. Rogues don't revenge. My guess is there is another lot of rogues camped pretty close to your base. Rogue camps move every night at midnight. Also, make a couple of animal traps to get some cheap cloth from trapped rabbits.
Yeah, I've just gotten behind on doing what I should be doing for whatever reason, going for the fridge was a bad idea.
@@robeargaming4666 The fridge is not a bad idea. It will run itself without draining the power. 0.33 in and 0.2 out.
How far do the traps need to be away from the base or does that not matter?
@@robeargaming4666 I don't know the actual distance, but I tend to put them a good 40 or 50 feet away, and visit them as I leave in the morning and on the way back in the evening. I also don't walk near them in between as I may scare the animal away before it gets trapped.

Nice take down of the rouges! Brave doing it without a brain bucket lol Just a heads up, the BCU will run the refrigerator and 1 light all by it's self. Turn your light off during the day of course. Very lucky with the fishing rogue! 1 arrow and 4 pistol rounds would have killed that wolf. Very entertaining!
Ty, yeah I hate taking on rogues/hutner before the brain bucket, which is why I now know, to save up to 4 cotton seeds, then go for the workbench asap with a refinery before hand, don't wait on the keys. I just don't know how I feel using foundations to take out predators before you really should be able to, like cougars.

Hey Robear, when you don't have many resources, just use sticks in the recycler. It's too expensive a loss to use frags and glass sheets.

I really want to thank you again for pointing this out, I have gone thru and really fine tuned my noise gate and added a better pop filter for my mic and think I have it in a pretty good spot.

I would get a wood burner going so that you can produce ash for the plant beds and biofuel for the generator. Also the wood burner is a more efficient use of fuel than the normal fire.
Yeah I built way out of order in this playthrough, but it was a good learning experience
Stop throwing away the rotten meat it's needed to make heat packs to keep you from freezing on winter loot runs.

Great day out and about. Jumping off that waterfall in the west side into the pond is quite exhilarating you should try it!! I wouldn't burn the fish, if anything let it rot. More valuable that way.

@@robeargaming4666 By the time you need mass. The cheapest way to do it is Quarter Ceilings gives 10 mass each. Sticks are also not a bad idea they give more than just wood.
Nice map opening. That’s the bit I’m really bad at (along with killing wolves 🤣). I wouldn’t have thrown that fish steak. If you’d left it in the crate it would have rotted and then you can pick it up next time to use to make a heat pack or insect repellent 😁

Also really like being to see the hunters, I am pretty certain that blue glowsticks are an actual base and green ones are rouges? I have noticed that some don't show?
@@robeargaming4666 Yes blue is for hunters. Green glow sticks are rogues but obviously if hunters are in their base, and the rogues sitting by their fires, they don’t use the glow sticks so it’s just luck if you see them!
