Ludwig Wittgenstein

Listening is a great way to improve your English. When we were babies, we learned our native languages by listening to people around us. So, the best way to improve your English is to listen to as much English as possible.

Here at VOA Learn English Through Stories, we aim to provide you with the best stories that are both short and easy to listen to, so you won't have any problem understanding them. This is going to help you develop your listening skills as well as your comprehension skills and vocabulary.

Я не понимаю зачем молиться, если можно кому-то помогать и делать мир лучше. Но наверное нужна совесть для молитв. А нам просто не интересно жить(

America has been inhabited for the past 30,000 years by it's natives which were found by explorers from India as narrated by Sugriva's Travels. Everybody else is a colonizer, invader, plunderer and sacker. Get that through your heads.

The wealthy strive to give their families a better life. The poor could do the same, but they prefer the state to support them so they can indulge themselves. Governments should only help the disabled; everyone else should work and strive. If they give the government the responsibility to feed the lazy, they will impoverish the entire nation to enrich themselves, under the guise of feeding a hungry populace. The Democratic Party needs to look at communist countries; if they want a better America, they shouldn’t do what the communists do. If they want to know what racial discrimination is like, they should live in Cuba for just one year, but as an ordinary Cuban. Long live freedom!”
