    You realize that Jerry isn't even the GM right? The current GM is Justin Hollander.

  • @A-fn6pc
    @A-fn6pc2 күн бұрын

    Disagree. Time for new ownership. Look at what they've built with the farm system. They've done it twice now. Look at our rotation and bullpen. Ownership haven't given the front office the chance to go after high end bats the last few years in free agency, so they've had to pivot to developing hitters internally. The front office has done a fantastic job in developing a core that can win consistently, do they have flaws? Of course, they aren't quite there yet. But you can't sit there and pretend like this regime is akin to Bevasi or Jack Z. Jerry and co have done more for the long term health of this organization than any GM of the last 20 years. That's simply a fact.

    @@A-fn6pc promote Cole Young and stick it out with him, he's going to be a star, yet M's just destroy any hitter's mind set. Let's just start a thousand different players at different positions every night? What a way to break a hitter's confidence. Have a great night at 3rd? guess what you're on the bench for the next two games. M's need something besides the constant change.

    I really got into baseball about ten years ago. I’ve been a lifelong Mariners fan but I really studied the game. I liked Turner from the beginning of his days with the Mets and with the Dodgers at 3rd base. Always loved his style and the pine tar all over his jersey. I love this roster so much. The pitching staff is great and I know the potential is there for our bats to be the best in the league. But we shall see if this continues. I will always love this team.

    Brooks was my sports idol, but unlike many fans, I never held it against DeCinces for replacing the Human Vacuum Cleaner at third base. He wasn't a Brooks Robinson at third base, but who was? Doug was a fine ballplayer in his own right. And, most O's fans know the story of DeCinces scooping up a young Cal Ripken Jr and shielding him when a gunman opened fire on the ball field. That kid, Cal, would grow up and take DeCinces' job.

    1. Is **anyone** surprised that the East Coast Bias Action Team as ESPN never talks about the Mariners? 2. OTOH, it isn't as if the M's have been tearing it up in the playoffs these last 25 years or so, right? 3. The solution is simple. Win games. Win LOTS of games. 4. The M's are in a VERY dangerous time of year. Historically, they do alright in July and then choke so bad in August and September that they fall to last place in the division. 5. And while they did alright vs. the Mets, how are they gonna fare against the Orioles and Yankees? None of this means I wish the team ill. These last 5 or 6 seasons the Ms have FINALLY gotten their crap together. But given how they utterly wasted the careers of Felix Hernandez and Ichiro Suzuki, I have every right to be skeptical. I want them to win, but I don't trust them to win in the same way I trust the Seahawks. And the only way they're gonna get to the playoffs is to win the division.
